That’s crazy, but the reason he’ll have a great NFL career barring injury is he’s tough as a motherfricker.

You’d expect that out of somebody like Nakobe Dean or Ladd McConkey who doesn’t have the elite size and frame, but Darnell has both.

The only reason he wasn’t a Mackey finalist is because he had to be on the same team as Brock Bowers, so targets just weren’t there.

Also, he could probably play OT at the next level as well

After he ran, the broadcasters said he was the second best TE on the team. DW may go down as the most underused weapon.

It's hard for me to say he was underused. He played a TON, he just didn't get a high volume of targets thrown his way. But, nobody really did on this team the past 2 years. We had a lot of really good players all playing their role and it resulted in 2 national championships.

Agreed.
We ran for over 40 rushing TDs. I'd guess that 30 were either behind his down blocks or were behind his split zone action.

I do think we could have thrown to him more in the redzone. Pod got more field goal attempts from inside the 10 than Washington got pass attempts.

Second largest hands and largest wing span.

His agility is what is most surprising.

He's a unicorn and its hard for NFL personnel folks to pass on someone like him and it's the reason he's goes in the first round. No way every NFL GM takes a flyer on him with their 1st pick IMO

Goes 10/10 in his relative athletic score at the combine LINK

Las Vegas, Nevada native, Washington scored a near-perfect 10/10 Relative Athletic Score, making him among the most athletic tight ends to perform at the combine since 1987. Washington’s MockDraftable comparables include Rob Gronkowski, Kyle Pitts, and Dallas Goedert,

That makes me sick. But we went 15-0 so it's water under the bridge.
