I assume 17-14 going into the SEC tournament. Losses to Florida and Auburn are a given, and this team is bad on the road so Texas and South Carolina are probably losses. Can they beat Vandy in the home finale?

Dawgs will probably have to get to the SEC tournament final, at minimum, to be in serious consideration for an at-large spot. Will probably need damn near all of the small conference tournaments hold chalk (which almost never happens) to have a remote chance at an at-large bid with 19 wins.

Even in real time, blowing that massive lead against Arkansas felt like a seismic turning point.

The Athletic still has us in as a 11 seed/not first 4.

I understand his point but I disagree that our OOC SOS is going to be the headline on our resume. The bad teams we played may be worse than the bad teams everyone else plays OOC, big whoop. We also went 1-1 against teams currently ranked in the top 15 (wiht the win being over a team in the top 10) and also played teams like GT and ND were nice pieces to schedule that simply havne't panned out. That's not really our fault.

The biggest takeaway on our team right now is that we simply can't be ranked teams. But i mean....there's hundreds of other programs in the same boat. If the biggest knock on your team is that you keep losing to ranked teams how bad are you, really? I doubt there are 68 better teams than us but obviously that's not how the comittee decides things .

I know we as fans are sick and tired of losing but who is our worst loss on the season? Arkansas? Yeah..that's it. We have one loss that can by itself be considered a "bad loss"...to a team with calipari as coahc and a team full of UK transfers, on the road. Every other loss we have is to a team that is ranked. I want to have a couple more wins just like everyone else but I don't think we suck and I don' think we're hopeless to make the tourney. We just HAVE to snatch one of these games againast a ranked team. We are 100% losing the next 2 games and are more than likely losing against TX. If we lose to SC we don't deserve to go so that pretty much means our postsesaon rests largely on the home finale against vandy. Win that for a 6th league win, win 1 game in the SECT against someone at hte bottom of the standings and I think we might be ok.
