Pearl Jam - My favorite band of the past 25 years and its not a close race. More songs with more lyrics that really hit home to me than any other band.
Rolling Stones - Over 50 studio albums, less than 30 songs the average music lover can name, let alone recognize if they hear them. If ever a band were more legendary than their body of work should dictate, its these guys.
*Dammit Cobb...you originally titled the thread "Pearl Jam"...then changed it so I have to come back here and clarify so no one thinks Rush is my favorite band of the past 25 years.

My dad was a HUGE VH fan - he drove a 1984 Z-28 with t-tops when I was a kid. He'd load me up (around 6 years old) and cruise around town with VHII or 1984 blaring (his two favorite albums). I've never stopped loving that band.

Like: Blondie, maybe. Not a huge fan, but Debbie Harry was a good singer. Leningrad Cowboys - basically because relatively few people (even friends) know they exist.
Hate: Seems like the topic is asking for a band that my friends would assume that I liked, but I don't. Not sure if there is one that fits that category.

The original title of the thread was "Pearl Jam" and I had already typed that about them when Cobb changed the thread title...I didn't change it. I just added the part about the band I hate that my friends wouldn't have guessed.
