I didn't read one little sentence! The one that mattered.

At least you're paying attention.

That’s the best part of that saints loss. There is no worse way they could have lost and it will haunt them for eternity. I, for one, really enjoy that.

This. They really Falcon'ed that game up, huh? Eff the Saints.

I don't think we deserved to be in the playoffs in 2018 after losing the SECCG either. Neither did Alabama in 2017 after not even making the SEC.

I agree, we didn't.

yes, they did.

It's amazing to me that people (not just you cowboy, people in general) try to twist and mangle common sense around to suit whatever they want reality to be. The one and only other team in 2017 that had even a remote case to make the playoffs was ohio state. They had 2 losses to alabama's 1. Alabama's 1 loss was on the road to an AU team ranked #2. Ohio state had 1 solid loss to a highly ranked OU, but also had a dreadful, inexplicable loss to an unranked iowa by THIRTY ONE fricking points. Sorry but you can't just ignore that and pretend it didn't happen, it's why CFB regular season is one of the greatest in sports because it actually counts for stuff. You can't look at those 2 resumes side by side and actually believe that OSU deserved to be in over alabama.

Likewise, I shook my head and uga fans venting so much online when we were left out this year. We had 2 losses, didn't win our conference, and had an embarassing 3 TD loss to lsu. Sorry but we played our way out and didn't deserve to be in. And although there's no way to prove it, I will still argue til the end that if we had beaten bama they would have been left out this year.

The committee isn't some strange enigma that nobody can figure out, it's really incredibly simple. They put in the 4 best resumes, as they should. Peopl want to say "it should be the best teams!!" but I mean if we're only looking at "best team", which is extremely subjective and relies on the eye test, why not just go ahead and put bama and clemson in in october?

Couldn’t agree more with everything you said.

If people want to say the “best 4 teams” what is the point of even playing the games?

It is, and should be, best 4 resumes. We didn’t have that this year.

I find the Auburn player's comments to be very reasonable.

Hard to get up after your expectations are wrecked. Happens a bunch, even to Bama.
