This guy seems to love being recruited. He’s gotten happy meals from LSU and the Lizards, now wants the cherry pie (that only the Dawgs or Bama can provide I guess)?

The open thread wasn't good enough for you?

He may be poison to the locker room. But man with him and Washington on opposite sides, how can that be defended?

He didn't want to come to UGA despite going to high school an hour away

He didn't want to transfer to UGA after leaving LSU

Why would he all of a sudden now want to go to UGA?

Because he’s unpredictable as hell?

Definitely do not want. He has some screws loose and I believe he would be a locker room cancer considering how he has quit on his teams.

When I see people posting about "what if he came to Georgia" I disregard. Two of the more talented QBs to ever play in the NFL were Jeff George and Ryan Leaf. Both of them were head cases beyond description. Talent alone does not mean anything.

yet he has been completely predictable in not wanting to come to UGA. He's had every opportunity to do so, multiple times, and has not. He clearly doesn't want to be here. Darnell is no slouch as is, at this point I'd rather not even fool with gilbert.

I agree with your thoughts totally, but I can’t see Kirby passing on a guy like that. The locker rom voodoo may not be worth it at all. Washington hasn’t even shown us his best and he played on a high level. This year and next we will see a monster of a tight end

Leaf might be a good person for Gilbert to talk to about getting his shite together. Leaf has completely turned his life around, acknowledged what he did in the past (had a serious pill problem which was the root cause of a lot of his NFL issues), and is a very good analyst and motivational speaker now. Someone tagged him on Twitter a few years ago and called him the biggest bust of all time, and Leaf responded by basically agreeing that he was a huge bust who didn't do what he needed to do for his team.

I'm so excited for Washington's future.

Seeing more and more balls go his way towards the end of the season was better than free base cocaine.

There was a great bit some years ago that was trying to explain exactly how big a bust Leaf was, so they did a demonstration about how if someone could convince an NFL team to let them play quarterback for one play, threw a single incomplete pass, and then immediately retired, they'd have a higher lifetime QB rating than Leaf.

After I typed that I remembered the number one running back in the country in 2019 got a hard NO from Kirby. Apparently he likes to take swings at his coaches. CDM who happened to recruit the kid and as the RB coach would have definitely put an arse whipping on him that Ajax couldn’t take off.

Only evidence I need as LSU was a dumpster fire last year no question.
but as soon as he "quit" on his team for being "home sick" LSU never lost a game and proceeded with basically their 2nd string Freshman team beat UF in their own stadium ruining their chances at a National Title.
It has since been reported (cant say its fact) he is a really bad teammate. Complained about not getting enough targets yet was 2nd on the team in targets, just a general negative in the lockeroom.

In short, LSU was better off without him. Like it was said in this thread. He is talented but its clear he needs to work through some things on a maturity level.

My guess is he leaves the SEC all together and ends up at Ohio State, Oregon or something like that.

He should’ve been perfect at UF, just ask Percy Harvin!

I'm pretty sure I've seen that movie before.
