When you look at some of the coaches we have now vs ones that we've had in the past, it makes you wonder why we don't draw that quality anymore. Where are the Dan Magills, the Andy Landers, the Suzanne Yoculans, the Hugh Durhams?

I think we still have some good competitors in swimming/track and field but we haven't won team national titles in that in awhile.

We won the women's NCAAs in 2016...

We haven't been great, but we definitely haven't been irrelevant until maybe 2015.

Gymnastics being .500 is pretty misleading, but we're definitely not as good as we used to be.

Can we also talk about our women's volleyball team? They are absolute trash.

Jack Bauerle, Manny Diaz, and Chris Haack are arguably the best coaches in their respective sports in the NCAA right now.

We just have some average/below average coaches in a bunch of other sports, but if they don't get the support they should from up top it's tough to tell how good they could actually be.

His point went over your head. If the 80 million is not legally able to be spent you have to ignore it. It could be 10 billion makes no difference.

However, I don't think any of us actually know the conditions of the fund so I guess there is no reason to speculate.

Yep, that's my line of business and most people have no idea how capital is treated on an institutional level.

And my point is that I don't buy for one second that ADGM is doing anything to push the envelope when it comes to spending. Thus I wouldn't be surprised if we were "unnecessarily" sitting on money.

If you don't like speculation then maybe you shouldn't be on this board, kind of what happens in every thread.

But are they attractive? That's pretty much all I remember about women's volleyball while I was on campus... gorgeous, athletic women, whom I had no shot with...

You are very defensive. I was actually referring to speculating the funds were untouchable.
