Gunner is better. Book it. If he had manning as his last name he’d be a high 5* too

I'd like to have Arch, almost as much for hte WRs to join him, but man I've never seen a prospect so hyped just on name alone. He's not a scrub obviously and any team would be happy to have him but if his name was john smith he almost surely isn't a 5* rated as highly as he is.

With whoever stays between Beck/BVG/Gunner we'll be just fine.

Now, now let’s not act like the board wouldnt be happy as hell had he chose UGA being negative on the kid isn’t a good look at this point.

I would have liked to have him but my position all along has been I like BVG and Gunner (both former 5*) so if he comes great, if not ok.

QB room has plenty of talent for us. Best of luck to him.

I hope so. BVG reminds me of Eason, not all there upstairs. I'd like to have had Manning, but all is not lost. We're still National Champions.

what are you basing this on, considering BVG is a freshman that has never seen one snap on the field yet?

Other than name appeal I can’t imagine what Texas has over say someone like Bama or us. He’s a Manning so I’m guessing money ain’t it

My son went to Price with him. He relied on his raw talent and playing single A private schools. I don't think he has what it takes to study and understand the playbook. Maybe I'm wrong, but Gunner is a better option.

We’ll be fine. I’m glad this drama is over….has ‘Chris Simms’ written all over it.

Sark crawls back in the bottle and Arch crawls to the tranfer portal.

Not what I expected, but it was hard to see him picking UGA with Stockton, BVG, and Beck on roster.

Would love to have him, since more for us is less for other programs, but we won't be hurting for talent after Stetson rides off.

As I stated on the Rant:
I'm glad we didn't get him.
1. I prefer a mobile QB.
2. Our quarterbacks should compete for the position and Manning will no doubt come to camp expecting to start immediately.
3. Manning will be entrenched making it difficult to recruit other high-level prospects.
4. And frankly I don't think the Manning family influence would be a net positive for our team.

I'm very happy he chose texas. I think we are in great shape with what we have, and we won't forcing one of them to the portal.

You can have too many competing for the same position. We have plenty of talent at QB, and who don't have all of the pressure to succeed that Manning has. I wish him well, sort of, and am happy with what we have.

It’s not a great sign that we’re two springs in with very little noise about him. Not the end of the world, but you would expect to hear more about him.

A, he played low class private high school ball. He was way bigger and more athletic than 95% of his competition. It’s hard to adjust from seeing basic, simple defenses with kids you know aren’t athletic enough to make certain plays to carving up college defenses, especially ours. He also spent all last year completely overhauling his throwing motion. He used to throw like Tebow, now he looks more like a regular QB. But doing that takes time and reps. Not to mention he came in an entire year behind Beck who played high class football in high school.
