Something else to consider is whatever happened to JT this year, may be keeping offers away. Like, from a due diligence standpoint. I’m not versed in how the portal works to that degree. Maybe he has 10 great offers and is deciding on which one is best?

Possibly, but I assume he does have quite a few offers. However, probably none at big schools that guarantee him the starting spot. Injuries have to be a concern with him at this point.

JT should have probably gone to a Mountain West or another PAC12 school to begin with. A qb with mobility issues from an injury & injury issues just doesn't seem like a good fit at any SEC school.
