He’s 5’8” and 210. He’s Trevor Etienne plus 10 pounds. Short doesn’t mean small.

I'd take that and go with over.

He ran for a 60 yarder in practice. He can probably break one longer than 25 yards against a team like Marshall

Trevor Etienne ran a 4.42 forty at the combine and was returning kickoffs the other night for the Panthers. Bo Walker is slower than our middle linebackers.

This is what I was getting at.

I'd put the over/under for Bo Walker's longest career run at Georgia at 25 yards. Doesn't mean that he can't be a contributor. He just has some limitations.

A RB that can give you a first down when you need a first down is valuable.

CJ runs a 4.62
Chris Cole 4.42
Raylen Wilcon 4.52
Justin WIlliams 4.44
Quintavious Johnson 4.68

Am I missing anyone?

I would take any of these players in a foot race against Bo Walker with the exception of maybe Q. Johnson, who is an outside linebacker.

But then again debating how fast a player can run is hit and miss for amateurs like us. There was the one guy on here who swore with strong conviction that Dan Jackson didn't have 4.4 speed and Dan Jackson was just a coach on the field and a lunch pail guy.

Who the frick really knows.

I remember when the cancer dawgs shite on Dan Jackson. Meanwhile the kid got better and better each year. He was one of the fastest players on the team and people assumed he was slow. He was balling with the Lions, but got some bad news on his injury.

What I heard on the Walker kid is he developed early and was a legit terror in rec ball and still did great in HS, but never got much bigger. Has great balance and vision, just not a guy with Dan Jackson type speed. He just needs to find the right running lane and be hard to tackle in College and he should be able to contribute well with his frame.

The Vanderbilt game when McConkey was a freshman, the play by play announcer who said "complete to Lane McConkey, the possession receiver" shouldn't have a job anymore, but I imagine he does.

So much laziness and stereotyping when it comes to assessing whiteys in football.

That’s another kid who got better and better each year. He is a freak natural athlete, but his route running and instincts are elite at the pro level.

Kirby has made it known for some time that he knows he can win if he can wear down opposing teams at the LOS. It is really the Alabama model when he was there. The defense keeps the game in hand and the offense progressively breaks the opposing team’s spirit.

The question is will we still be able to do this in the new NIL era where it seems harder to stack depth across the LOS?

If, and if is the operative word here, some of the young guys on OL and DL continue to step up and we get through camp more or less injury free, we’re going to be deeper in the trenches than a lot of teams.

My hope is that the Phil Rauscher feller will revive our running game. Pinning your team's hopes and dreams on an assistant offensive line coach probably doesn't make much sense, but I'm doing it anyway.

If this O-line is good and vintage UGA, we’ll be good. If not, we’ll struggle mightily.

‘More than five yards per rush, which is a lofty goal, if you rush the ball more than five yards per attempt, you'll be one of the top teams in the country. And that's a goal for us.’
-Kirby at the press conference at start of camp.
Safe to say it’s going to be a focus.

‘More than five yards per rush,

I'd break it down by yards per carry by running backs. Our rushing stats will automatically receive a boost with Gunner as our quarterback inseat of Beck.

Top 3 RBs yard per carry

2024 – 5.0, 5.0, 2.9

2023 – 5.4, 6.5, 8.2

2022 – 5.5, 5.5, 7

2021 – 5.3, 6.4, 5.7

...

2017 – 6, 7.9, 7.6 (legendary)

...If we can get the average of our our top 3 runnning backs to 5.2, we should be okay. If we can get it back to 5.5 then we'll be cooking again!.
