...yeah, Robert Edwards was one of my favs. Would have crushed Tennessee if they hadn't broken his ankle.

Sorry, Pollack is not on the same level as Herschel. Not even close.

Yea, if 47 is on 34s level then we should take 3 off the shelves yesterday and 1 & 27 right after. I’m ok leaving those numbers open but at this point if you come to Georgia you have to know you’re not gonna be #34.

Pollack took over games, not saying he is at Herschel's level but he is a top 5-7 player at UGA.

Not sure some of you were out of diapers when he played. The only way to stop him was to hold him. Think it's awesome his number is still in use but in a different era, his number would have been retired.

I just don't believe you take any number off the shelf based on what the game is today.

Would love to hear Herschel's thoughts as part of me thinks he would no mind. What he did for us will never be forgotten, ever regardless of if someone wheres a number so associated with the best of the best for years in college and pro, Herschel, Bo, And Walter Payton.

Did they retire it? I don't remember that.

Well, his number was 34.

Given that Zeus was ancient Greek, that would be written as Lambda Delta in Attic.

Smh at this statement

Here are some of the esteemed 47s since Pollack

Daniel Harper OLB
Christian Payne FB
Taylor Maxy FB
Chad Gloer CB

I''m not saying 47 shouldn't have been retired in Pollacks honor (maybe should have) but please spare the idea that we put this number on any sort of icon status at UGA

Closest thing you could point to was Ray Drew wearing it

Herschel is a top 5 player in NCAA history.

See the difference there?
