Am I the only one who thinks our defense will end up being better this year?

Outside of replacing Roquan I think we will upgrade at every position. I think our defense ends the season being more dominant than last seasons defense

I think our quality depth across the board will be better. I'm worried that Roquan's superior play was the missing piece that made the engine run last year and I'm not sure how we replace that. The good news is a ton of guys got reps last year. I'm just not sure we have that dominating presence on the defense a la a Roquan, Pollack, Jarvis, etc. I think we may just be solid across the board (which if the offense can improve on last year any may be enough)

Walter and grant really cam one at the end of last season, and with a talented group of young guys pushing them for playing time I think they will play their hearts out this season. Our linr wasn't very good at pressuring the qb without a blitz, but I see that changing this year.

I think we'll be a much better defense at the end of the year than the beginning.

That South Carolina game scares me putting a lot of new starters on the road early in the year against an experienced quarterback. Hopefully we'll be able to outscore them if it becomes a problem.

Having Baker will help stabilize the secondary and I think our DL will be top 10 in the country. The linebackers worry me a little.

I think Monty Rice makes his presence known this year. He will be a monster

I’m calling it now... waaay too early prediction. Georgia’s defense will be better and by seasons end, people will be talking about D’ Andre Walker as a candidate for some type of award. Walker will be the best pass rusher in the SEC and possibly the nation this year. And oh yeah... 5* Brenton Cox is here as well... another dominant d-lineman... I can’t wait!

If we can dominate the DL and get pressure rushing 4, consistently, our inexperienced but talented db’s and lb’s will be fine. But our defense will not be as good as last year, but next year should be even better than last year .... and the way Kirby is recruiting, this should be the last year we ever have to ‘rebuild’ ... from this point forward we’ll just reload like Bama does.

I think Adam Anderson could have a similar impact as Arden Key had as a frosh for LSU, it's going to be very hard to keep that young man off the field.

I think our D-line will be able to do that, along with solid LB play should help our DBs out a lot. By seasons end I definitely see them being better then last years D. We weren't even in the top 50 Turnovers gained, tackles for loss, and barely cracked the Top 50 in total sacks(came in at #48) last year. There is no reason for us not to improve on those things this year.

Will be impossible to replace lost LB productivity from last year but can improve secondary and d line. We will be deeper everywhere. If you can get 1-2 young dbs to step up we will be good enough

You are not the only one. A lot of the young guys got reps, which helps this season coming up. Espicially at the D-line. It could be the difference from last season. More depth and experience.

Once you think about this class we just signed and got damn our DEF is gonna be stacked for years to come.

You guys keep naming more and more guys that I keep forgetting about that are capable of being studs.

I'm interested in seeing which group gets the better of the other in spring practices, between the OL and DL. Should be interesting.

Don't sleep on Robert Beal, dude got his weight up, and I heard he has caused havoc when he was on scout team last year.

I am concerned about our front seven.

Hopefully we can get some polished depth at OLB. Worried about losing Atkins and Thompson, too. Less talent inside might hurt the performance of our average DEs in Clark and Marshall. Again, hope some new guys can provide depth.

I think our secondary will be just fine.

Weird. I'm much less concerned about the front 7 than the secondary. I'm especially less concerned about OLB depth.

I don't think we have less talent there. That's one position that got rotated often during the game and we have a lot of guys who have experience there

Im not sleeping on anyone on that DL, I personally think we will probably end up with a top 5 D-line
