Was watching this video of Zamir White and noticed how his mobility went up as the season went along. It became very noticeable against Baylor that his lateral mobility began to shine with jump cuts becoming dominant.

The video makes me more confident that we are going to be in great hands with him. I think he has a huge year this year.

I am excited to see Monkin's plan for him and Cook.

Against Baylor, I saw us run more toss sweeps than we normally had during the season. It was exciting. I'm not sure why we don't do it more.

Coley didn't know what he was doing.

What's his face that went to Tennessee wasn't a lot better.

I didn't care for Coley, but in fairness he was the OC for the Baylor game.

I actually liked Chaney. I think he did an adequate job. Not great, but not as bad as many on here believe.

Matt Luke had an enormous Influence on what we did vs Baylor. Heck we were pulling at one point to me that is the definition of road grading.

If Monken runs the same formations and plays as he did at okie state and so miss, this offense could flourish. But alas, we are behind due to the lack of practice time and such.

Good grief. I'd forgotten just how much Kinlaw made Hill his bitch in that USC game.

Kinlaw was an animal. Great player, and he was way too quick for Kindley and Hill, who were both too heavy.

I tend to agree, but if you totally accept that Coley changed his play calls to suit Matt Luke, then you would also have to accept that Coley was restricted by Pittman.

I do understand that the coordinators and coaches influence each other, though, so I do get your point.

I personally do not expect us to get am Air raid type of offense. I believe we will remain a run based and oriented offense, but with more passing and a more innovative offensive strategy.

I just based this on our identity and Kirby's background, although I acknowledge that it could change. I just can't see us moving toward an Oklahoma State, Big 12 type of offense.

He really struggled that game. In his defense I think he is a Guard playing center. he struggles with the nuances of the center position. Calling OLine blocking schemes while hiking the ball and being ready for a bullrush by a 300 LB DLineman is tough. Then about the time you are set and think you are ready to go the defense shifts and everything changes. He still gets so caught up in setting the blocking schemes up that he struggles hiking the ball. Personally if VanPran or Erickson or somebody could pick up everything required of a center I would like to see what Hill could do as a guard.

Also in Hill’s defense, Kinlaw is an absolute stud.

Pittman and Luke are both great, one believes in size the other momentum for blocking.

Both are great.

Im going to get downvoted, and no I didn't watch the whole video....

but...

..some of those holes would be TD runs if chubb/sony/gurley had the ball in their hands.

Let's hope White kicks it up a notch this year and is 110% recovered.

The most impressive part of his running game is his ability power inexplicably through a pile of defenders. I can't count how many times he seemed to get lost in the crowd only to pop out for extra big yardage. If our OL can give him some room to run, he should have an excellent season.

I would definitely call it more spread than air raid. Okie state specifically had a very good running game under Monken and so did southern miss. He utilized traditional shotgun formations and empty sets along with pistol and diamond formations. Pistol and diamond particularly were very effective run formations

I don't think that is something crazy to say. He did seem to get better the farther into the season got. I really started seeing more jump cuts and lateral movement the last 2-3 games.

Why would you get downvoted. Those two were first round talents. White hasn't shown that yet. Here's to hoping he continues the trend of year two being the best year back from knee surgery.
