Does anyone feel that he might resign regardless of what happens this year?

Would a man of faith see this as a sign that it may not be his calling any longer?

I don't feel that Richt is a quitter by any stretch, but if his motives, demeanor, and attitude towards his job are such that he deems it no longer "pleasing to God", would he give it up?

For the kind of money he is getting paid - Nope, I would hold out as long as I could.

You would. But would Richt?

He's got money. If it were THE motivating factor in his decision then he's not the man he's portrayed to be.

not really and that's mostly because we aren't that lucky. also, richt can come off as nice as he wants but i know he isn't giving up getting $3M a year to frick around every year with all his best friends and not worry too much about wins and losses. sucks his gravy train is eroding now but he's gonna take us to the bank. just like if he resigned i'd fully expect him to take the full buy out and not be super gracious or something and not take it.

richt may be a nice guy but he is human. and just like pretty much most portrayed in the media, no one is ever as good or bad as they say. i think the same holds up here.

So basically, Creflo Dollar might as well be our head football coach?

Yea, and speaking of trash, Urban Meyer's not going anywhere.

Last guy I would want to see at the barn is petrino.

First thing you know, that guy pulls another Mallett out of his arse (literally), and they're off to the races.

And don't be fooled by the TV version of Gruden. I've heard that guy is an A #1 douche. He'll probably wind up at TN.

DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMMIT. you know what that means, we have only one choice left. the ultimate arse hole jim harbaugh. we just need to offer $8M a year with an additional $2M per year in incentives. also buy super contracts for coordinators.

sure, our program will be poorer than UTs in 5 years but holy shite that's gonna be so awesome

That's exactly what our admins are most concerned about: being richer as opposed to poorer. As it stands, Richt has pretty much been a gold mine for UGA.

Hell, I thought he may resign after we started 1-4 a couple of years ago but he didn't. I think HE might if it was just him, but in some weird way he probably feels responsible to his staff too.

Who knows...but if we drop 2 more this year nothing would surprise me.

...there...fixed it...hell, can't remember everything....

Don't know and don't care. There've been plenty of posts on that topic going back for years.

McG isn't a lightweight so I'm sure there are potential candidates if a replacement needs to be made. It's unreasonable and missing the point entirely to suggest "there isn't anyone better".

Its always someone with that "who are we going to get to replace him?" question...

The answer is...I would gladly accept a rough couple of rebuilding years under a new coach as long as I knew thats what I was supposed to be expecting.

Not competing at a high level when we are expecting to challenge for conference and MNC is absolutely unacceptable.

More and more of us are past the point of no return with this. Beating up on little sisters of the poor then getting prison raped by any team with a pulse is getting old.

I could give a shite less about 10 win seasons unless some of those wins come against strong teams and the losses come hard fought (see Alabama)
