Been out at the beach today. Hancock bled today... #firestricklin

Actually looked like he may have been using today as a true tune up start. Commentators noting that it was a heavy dose of breaking balls, not much fastball action.

Thankful for the WP that advanced Rogers to scoring position.

I think we’ve mentally checked out for next weekend. Defense looking sloppy, pitching just going through motions.

Can’t blame em; won 2 and now ready to try regionals again

Agreed. Not much value in trying to battle hard here. Good work from Locey to get out of that one... If the bats get hot, so be it, but doesn't seem like we are terribly motivated at this point.

I think after last year’s regional that’s all this team really cares about, avenging that experience and making it to Omaha. Note that Hancock had a subpar day and wasn’t all that upset about it. Locey is a competitor but even he seems to be just getting some work in. That we are warming up Pasqua for relief tells me that we are happy to win but fine with going home at this point

5-3 Rebs final

On to the regional. Maxwell slumping hard but otherwise everyone else should have some confidence leaving Hoover (finally)

Terrible approach/plate discipline there to finish from the last couple of batters... Hate not making them pitch the zone to close it out. But on to the regional. Rest up tomorrow and everyone knows they've got stuff to work on/tune up this week.

I listened to the radio a bit here and there and caught the end of the game on the tv. I do agree the last two batters seemed unstrategic

King couldn’t lay off the outer stuff either.

I think team needs to go home and reset. Plenty to be proud of but the message was sent about our intentions when we announced we would throw both Hancock and Locey on pitch counts today; we didn’t care about playing or winning Sunday
