The only thing that is even halfway a concern for me is that we're going to face another ace that was supposed to be their Friday starter before injury and we haven't seen him this year.
However...he doesn't seem to be the same guy post-injury and we typically do great against righties. I think all the little metrics you can look at heavily favor us tomorrow.
If by some chance it does stretch into Monday then I'll be truly worried from a pitching standpoint becuase we'll be without all 3 of our main starters and will have to throw a bullpen game with the season on the line, which doesn't sound fun at all. Here's hoping it doesn't get to that.

This is it. Would suck to come down to essentially a bullpen game to get to Omaha. The bats deserve better

really interested to see the status of vigue's injury. Also kinda head scratching we put him in that spot and not one of our other decent/solid relief guys. It all worked out in the end so oh well.
Tomorrow we will have Aoki for hopefully half the game and should still be able to throw scott and Byrd I'd imagine considering their limited pitches todya.

I just think there’s a psychology to this now that no lead is safe and they can’t seem to put us away. Certainly still possible for them to win the series but it’s going to require us going quiet at the plate and I just don’t know that we can do that. We shelled their best arm second time through the lineup and chewed up their best relief pitching. I don’t think that goes unnoticed in their locker room.

not to mention we get maybe our 2nd best player back in the lineup tomorrow. Really, really like our chances to sew this thing up tomorrow.

Can I just add to all this that our fans showed up, showed off, and showed out. Amazing atmosphere. It was also a great showcase for Foley Field. Foley has some classic college character and when it's rocking like that it looked as good or better than any stadium in the Super Regionals.
Great day to show off Georgia Baseball to a larger audience.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Can't wait to hear JD call the football games. He met the moment with the go ahead home run call.

Personally, his voice is nails on a chalkboard to me. Just a whiny nasally tenor with no creativity, charm or storytelling. Horrible choice, imho.

Gotta admit, I totally agree. Best I've ever heard him.
More of that, please.

Great AB from Ishikawa to work a walk. Bases loaded one out. McPherson already at 20 pitches.
Wynn cues one off the bat to the 1B and gets another run across. 2-0. 2nd and 3rd, 2 outs

Hudson K's. McPherson threw 29 pitches. A quick bottom half the inning to get him back out there would be amazing. Let's go Aoki

Tight zone for Aoki. Two down but just gave up a double after a long AB. At 18 pitches himself

Aoki gets a break on a check swing to get the K and end the inning. State dugout, ESPN booth, and the batter all big mad. Was a bad call but we were due for a good call after some missed strikes the batter before.

Branch Bomb!
3-0 Dawgs as ESPN booth still whining about the check swing
