If Carson doesn’t get hurt in SECCG last year, we never see Gunner be a gamer in the second half and look as good as he did with limited previous reps in the sugar bowl. If CB stays healthy we very likely sign Mendoza who ended up at Indiana. I’m more than happy with Gunner but it just goes to the point that the portal would have been a decent option.

There are worse problems to have than to sign a seasoned portal QB for a stopgap year or two.

It’s a better use of money too. I have no problem with a policy of staying below market for HS QBs given the bust rate. I do think we need to consider upping the ante for OL and front seven defensive players. Those guys don’t transfer nearly as much, so acquiring the top HS prospects is more critical.

Any way, looks like Steward is headed to Athens. Tough luck for Vanderbilt, they thought they had him.

Looks like it. I'm not sure which one that was. Maybe the Blake Stewart one?

Yeah, but apparently he's committed to Georgia.

Luginbill and a bunch of other folks reporting it, too.
The school might have jumped the gun since they can't post about it until the guys put actual pen to paper and the school receives it.

By all indications, Stewart announced publicly. The school can't legally acknowledge his existence until his NLI is in hand.

Looks like Bama lost someone to Vandy, too.

Odd that others have "it" but not UGA. Did he change his mind?

DawgNation has also learned that Justice Fitzpatrick will wait until his 8 p.m signing ceremony this evening before he sends his information in. His team is still alive in the FHSAA playoffs, and he will hold his event after practice today.
Prothro and Fitzpatrick are the two highest-rated commits who have yet to sign with Georgia.
The other six commits who have not signed as of 1:45 p.m. are Brady Marchese, Chace Calicut, Seven Cloud, Zachary Lewis and Wade Register. Calicut and Cloud are not expected to sign today due to ongoing legal situations.
Prothro has, of course, now signed.

Seven's been trying forever and hasn't done it right yet. He must feel like he's living under a dark cloud, or maybe he broke a mirror and got seven years bad luck.
