That's all very nice and respectful sounding, and if he'd said it 6 months ago nobody would've batted an eye. When it happens immediately before signing day, that feels calculated and intentional. It makes it tougher for Georgia to recruit a QB for 2026, and that's a side effect that Curtis and his handlers obviously understand. I'm sure Kirby does.

It's not a bad strategy to use transfer QB's. Let somebody else pay to train them up. But it's also very expensive to pick up one a good one in the portal. Kirby recruited a HS quarterback so he obviously wanted one for 2026. Maybe still does, I have no idea.
I assume Kirby has learned his lesson by now; you're gonna get jerked around by high ranking recruits. If you want/need to sign a freshman quarterback, try to sign two. Don't let them leave you shorthanded on signing day.
