there is some concern that he isn't as strong a runner between the tackles as other highly rated RBs in this class. Most of his highlights show him running wide/outside.

I'm not a HS expert but isn't this what most RB highlights are in HS? Run your super fast guy outside and make the opponent tackle him in space = first downs. Especially when he's got that size to go along with the speed.

I look at highlights that show making people miss, extraordinary hands, always falling forward for another 2 yards.

Plays of guys not getting touched aren't highlights.

My bad, I forget I'm talking to a Tennessee fan. Here's the summary for you in bullet points.

1)Tennessee troll assigned to UGA message boards: "I can't blame any wide receiver recruit for not wanting to go to Georgia. The NFL wants to see production. It is what it is."

He's implying that Vancee Spafford flipped to Miami, because UGA receivers don't get enough production to suit the NFL, but Miami's WR do.

2) UGA fan: Swats down troll talking point: Kirby's had 9 WR drafted in the last 9 years. Miami's had 3 drafted.

3) Troll: Repeats same assertion. Cites stats to show UGA WR don't get enough production to satisfy the NFL. Points out that a Miami WR led the ACC last year. Says UGA uses two TE sets.

Disappointing response, already disproven. Troll ignores evidence that the NFL regularly drafts UGA WR's so production is not an issue. Doesn't realize that the NFL looks at much more than stat lines. Troll also forgets to mention that the ACC leading Miami WR wasn't even drafted. Auburn trolls are better than this, and that's a low bar.

4) UGA fan: Reiterates the previous points. Georgia WR get drafted more than Miami.

Troll criticism of UGA WR usage as cause for Spafford flip is invalid. With lower quality trolls sometimes you have to repeat things several times.

5) Troll: Pivots to a new argument: "Receivers want to be the man. Georgia gets negative recruited at wide receiver by other programs to hell and back for rotating receivers and playing two tight end sets."

This is a self-serving Tennessee troll point because Josh Heupel rarely rotates and his receivers run about two routes, which don't match up to NFL schemes. They sell "being the man", which is not the same thing as learning skills the NFL likes in WR. Being "the man" is provably not a guarantee of draft success.

6) UGA fan: Plays along with pivot, points out that if being "the man" means leading the team in receiving yards, then Kirby has had exceptional success getting "the man" drafted. Miami, not so much.

7) Troll starts mumbling about future production and rain man. Probably needs a pay cut based on poor quality of posting.

Fair point, BUT how many RBs have seen the field under Kirby that can’t/don’t show ability to run between the tackles? I can’t think of any.

You can't think of any? Any?

Off the top of my head, James Cook for his first 3 years. Also some guy named Cash Jones.

Recruiting sucks arse and is no where near what it’s been. I’m sure many will run here and say everything is ok when in fact it’s not. In Kirby I trust though!
