And he signed an extension at Baylor a month before taking the Panthers job,

This is 2028 class but 4 star (5 when it’s really time for 2028 to be evaluated) QB from IMG academy Jayden Wade has committed. 6’4” 195 as a Sophmore this year Advanced as a pocket passer but has great legs when he needs them.

Word on the street that Curtis is still flirting with vandy. Apparently he really wants to play as a freshman. Obviously won't be happening here so don't get too hyped for Curtis. Could be another ravioli situation

That's crazy. He don't wanna sit one year?

Playing first year is a priority and there’s no guarantee he wins the job year 2 over Montgomery.

I can’t imagine Curtis had any bearing on taking a 2028 QB.

The number 1 receiver and top overall player in Wade's class is from Jacksonville. If it's a Jacksonville kid we always have a chance.

That kid is already considering reclassifying to ‘27 according to other message boards.

You’re saying that a kid from the instant gratification/everything at a click of a button/trophy for everyone generation doesn’t want to wait their turn?

Vandy QB for '26 just decommitted

Curtis is supposedly "different" but I rather have Pugs or Monty be the heir apparent at this point.

Curtis may very well come in and light up the sport but when is the last time one of these QBs was on a championship roster?

Trevor Lawrence maybe? And with NIL in play now idk, call it sour grapes but I won't be heartbroken if he goes elsewhere. Kirby has proven he doesn't need an all world QB to win a chip.

I mean..Julian Sayin is working on it. But the better question (To me) is the last time a QB came in and did well. Championships depend on so many things...not just a QB. Many of the top QBs, lately have gone to schools with rosters that were less than championship caliber.
Dylan Raiola is doing ok
Justin Fields
Julian Sayin
Have done well, but there are just as many that have not done well.

And there have been some QBs that were not ranked all that highly that have done well...then some that were ranked high that flamed out spectacularly. (Iameleava, Jackson Arnold)

But your point is valid. Don't get twisted in a knot just because some highly ranked kid decides to go somewhere else.

The Vandy site seems to think his flip is contingent on Clark Lea getting an extension which is contingent on Vandy committing to a lot of facility upgrades.

Curtis’ timeline doesn’t match up with our current roster for him to play early imo (not a bad thing). However, Gunner will return, Jayden Wade will probably reclassify to ‘27, then could make a run to play year 1. Will work out just fine.

Wade plays better talent and his raw ability is a notch above Curtis to me.

I think that Curtis's skills are head and shoulders better than Wade's. When I watched Wade's highlights I saw no runs and no ability to move.

Senior in high school compared to a Sophomore in high school? To me, it seems like Wade should probably get a little more time before he’s written off.
