Kosowick comes in for Brown, only faces 3 batters and gives up a couple lf walks. Ellisen follows and gives up a sac fly, a steal, and a base hit to score 2 more for Citadel.

On the other side, Branch strikes out, Black walks, and Phelps hits into a 6-4-3.

Just very uninspired play in 41 degree weather.

3-0 Citadel through 3

Just a sorry arse showing by Georgia today

Only 2 hits for the lineup to go with 4 walks

Pitching has given up 6 hits and walks

You can tell which arms are probably not getting any run on the weekends based on who is playing today. No excuse for the offense, though.

Citadel is 8-9 on the year.

3-0 Citadel in the 6th

Heckuva rally right now. Dawgs tie it up in the bottom of the 8th.

5-5 bases loaded, two outs.

Dawgs leave 'em stranded, but go tied into the 9th 5-5.

Jameson (fitting for Saint Patrick's Day) strikes out the side in the top of the 9th.

Dawgs go tied into the bottom of the 9th 5-5.

Just coached my kids baseball practice in 40 degree temps. Apparently that’s all we needed

Still pissed we docked around like we did but glad to have the win (and avoid the RPI skid)

Our park shut down games and practices tonight. Frustrating as a coach to have to squeeze more in later in the season, but they don’t allow any activities with “feels like” below 40….so they cancelled early today which was nice

Make it 4-0

4 runs on 6 hits for the Dawgs through 2 innings, including a 3 run tank by Henry Allen. Nice rebound offensively after a lackluster showing on Tuesday and over the weekend.

Worth noting Ishikawa is back in the lineup for the second straight game and had a nice hit to left to lead off the 2nd

Can’t tell if it’s the camera angle or if this ump has a strike zone shaped like a trapezoid

Volchko gets chased in the second. Never found the strike zone, just all over the place

Barring some insanity, Dawgs en route to taking game 1, lead 9-2 in the 9th

Cole Johnson with a 2 run, 2 out pinch hit single with bases loaded to put us up 7-2

Oriach just hit a 2 run tank in the 9th to all but out it out of reach

We have 15 hits, Phelps has 3

Rough start by Volchko who just never found command but Byrd and Aoki have done really well to never give A&M much to work with.

Dawgs win it 9-4

The freshman Joe Nottingham came on for Aoki and got his first SEC strikeout but gave up a couple of walks and a couple of hits to let A&M score a couple. Grant Edwards then came on and in 3 pitches induced the double play ball to win it.

Go for the rare series win in College Station tomorrow at 3

Also worth noting: this was A&Ms first home loss this season
