Surprisingly, Wes just announced weekend rotation
GM 1: Kolten
GM 2: Goldstein (1 inn) then Finley
GM 3: Zeldin
GM 4: Zach Brown
Surprised to see Zeldin starting and no Zach Harris. Wonder if he will serve as more of an opener
Kinda sucks we aren’t using Kolten or Finley against UNCW but I understand I guess

We’re going to basically use the month of February as one giant try out. The non con schedule is so weak, I’d expect to see Alton Davis, Quinn, and Harris each start at some point soon. In other words, don’t read too much into who we throw and when right now.
We also likely won’t have a set closer, just pitching situationally. We’re finally deep enough, we can certainly pull that approach off on paper.

This is what I was thinking too. Also, it’s going to drive some “fans” nuts when we lose to some shite teams as they don’t understand baseball, especially midweek

I mean we do need to avoid bad losses to the Northern Colorados of the world but yeah if we drop a game on the road to Wilmington this weekend, the season isn’t tanked. You’re not really going to make it to Omaha nor lose out on a shot at hosting a regional in February; everything now is about prepping for March-April-May

A note about the weekend:
No TV for the first two games against Quinnipiac. I plan to listen on radio and will try to post live updates as the games go on.
Saturday and Sunday games vs UNC-Wilmington will be on FloCollege (same broadcast group that hosts the Shriners Classic out in Texas). I went ahead and paid the $20+ for the month scrip so I can watch both games (and the Shriners since I’ve got it) so I’ll try to glean some impressions based on what I’m able to see.
Dash has a good write up on both Quinnipiac and UNCW if you want to set expectations. Short version is that we should probably bully Quinnipiac on talent and experience alone but UNCW has both talent and returning experience and should make for a couple of solid games.
