He seemed to be grabbing hip/quad area but could be hammy which he has a history of

Looks like the team will be entertaining no matter what. 17 in a row is impressive no matter the level or opponents

I’m also going to say this Goldstein sucks fricking Dick, Finley…. Sucks fricking dick Hoskins is by far the best pitcher we have on the roster and as a starter IMO , but this relief pitching my god this has to be the best relief pen I’ve seen at UGA in a long time:cheer:

Postgame comments from Wes:

- Kolten was cramping up and don’t expect it to be anything longterm
- Black they don’t know yet what it is or severity
- Said Goldstein is absolutely available to come back this weekend

Wes walked right up to the line of saying that the ump behind the plate was fricking terrible and was squeezing Goldstein. Decision to switch had more to do with giving the ump a different pitcher to look at because he wasn’t giving Charlie anything to work with.

We will get the game in tomorrow, storms aren’t supposed to reach Athens til late night. Sunday is going to be touchy based on the heavy rainfall and wind damage expected. I’d anticipate all games played as scheduled unless something shifts. Actually may be an area where the turf field does us a favor; drainage and field prep should be improved

Early innings adventure continues

Kentucky scores a run in the first on a walk, a HBP, a single, and a double but leaves them loaded

Dawgs strike back with a leadoff homer from Alford

Hoskins leaves bases loaded in the second with nobody out on a leadoff HBP, a walk, and a bunt single before Wes brings the hook.

Jordan Stephens in now to try to minimize the damage

1-1 in the 2nd
