We are clearly aiming to get bigger guys on the o line even if they are raw and not ready to immediately contribute. With the way our S&C and development works I like this policy. Polish those coals. They’ll be diamonds soon.

I’m interested in what happens after this season. Mims will presumably move on the NFL draft but what happens after that? Both OGs should also go to the draft. Do they move Greene inside? Does Freeling play RT even though he’s the prototypical LT? Does Morris play OG or OT? Too many elite OTs is a great problem to have.

Greene and Freeling likely become your two tackles.
Blaske at Center.
Fairchild at one Guard spot, Morris at the other

So at this point, it’s fine to say that but we really don’t know. The reports from 7v7 practice is that Freeling is a monster and could be our LT as early as next year. Greene isn’t the same fit for RT. There are absolutely questions and I’m excited to see the answers.

Happy 4th Recruiting Thread! I don’t remember who it is, but aren’t we expecting a target to announce commitment today?

I don't think any of our targets are scheduled today, but several are this week and next.
Daniel Calhoun OT is scheduled tomorrow.
Nyier Daniels OT is scheduled for 7/7
Marques Easley OT is scheduled for 7/8
We are in it for all of these and feel good about them all.

Seems like there ought to be others, but I can't remember them.

The entire month of July is supposedly supposed to be explosive. And KJ Bolden is announcing August 5, but I feel less great about him than I did.

This class is ridiculous. With the new hard 85 cap being the only ceiling for the next two recruiting cycles, gonna be a lot of roster management.....

Viewing the link, Ajonye's mom has character which has been instilled in Joseph. Great recruit!!!

Holy frick that dude is massive. This class is something special…

Gonna take a few 5* to make it super special. Hell Bama had 9 5* last year.

Not to be overlooked in JJA’s excitement but huge news that Ellis Robinson closed his recruitment and won’t be taking anymore visits and reaffirmed his commitment to us. I know Bama and others wanted to flip him real bad. He’s about as close to a shutdown corner as they come these days.

I didn't watch the whole thing, but Justin Williams is thought to be a hard lean to us. We'll see.

Should add that Oregon is still in it for him, but we lead.
