We landed a commitment from a speedy WR named cole speer out of Calhoun. He is unranked but seems to have a lot of the things you can't teach. 4.4 forty(he's white) and a very high vertical. Interesting pickup

Does he bring his lunch pail everyday?

SoFl and others have been consistent here. We are not able to match A&M's NIL package, but we've at least put together something competitive enough that if he wants to come here it shouldn't prevent it outright. There is growing confidence, but if A&M misses on some of the other guys they are also targeting, then I'd expect his NIL package gets bigger so they don't lose him as well. Assume this goes to the wire.

If we don't get bear I hope we can snag Miller and Williams.

Appears Smoke committed to A&M. Thinks we can kiss Bear goodbye

Sounding like odds are good there, but neither of them is a fit at 0 tech. We need an answer there this cycle for sure.

Pope to Bama too. We might as well just create a whole new board at this point. It can easily change but early on… Hella swing and misses.

Slightly unexpected in that I think SoFl had assumed he was going to UNC or somewhere similar, but we were not a likely destination according to his updates roughly a month ago. Now... if we don't pick Smoke back up, I'll be a little more upset that he's off the board I guess. I'm kind of surprised that Bama would accept his commitment this early though just based on the limited film I've seen so far.

I don't think we were recruiting him any longer. Very surprised he was a take for Bama. We'll see....

5* WR Luther Burden decommitted from OU. We still in it with him? He visited back in June

Apparently UGA and MIzzou and the leading two suiters. Kind of figured Bama would be more in the hunt, but I guess still cant count them out.

I'm reading it's Mizzous race to lose. Dad wants him to be close to home

We missin' on some big fish, crazy. I would have never thought, but let's let the season play out at this point and hope the on field product entices some of these prospects to flip.

He stayed home. Let's hope we can do the same with our top recruits.

I don’t even mean it sarcastically but like legitimately what is left on our board?

Shouldn't be comparable. Top Georgia players have a reason to stay home...they have a program in their backyard that's elite and among the best at putting players in the NFL...

North Carolina, though? Seriously? For possibly the top nose tackle this year? I think he ought to rethink that decision before signing day rolls around.

You’re under selling Mack Brown and the job he’s done at UNC. Also, he’s the 3rd best NT this year.

It's still not the SEC. Sounds like the kid needs to consider whether he's ready for the big time. If he's not, staying close to home and going to UNC may be good enough.
