D1Baseball just dropped their latest field of 64.

They have us as a National Seed.

They have us hosting FSU, Mercer, and College of Charleston

There is no precedent for ANYTHING bad happening with that draw

Weekend rotation for LSU:

Friday - Crisp
Saturday - Cannon (80-85 pitch count)
Sunday - Sully

Stricklin said to expect LSU to do a lot of pitch by committee, their bats are their strength and we will shift a lot to try to get their hitters out of rhythm.

Also said Tuesday was as healthy as our pitching staff has been all season and it showed; we had every arm available to throw midweek as needed for the first time this year. To that end, I think we are in position to take KSU on Tuesday which has me amending my projection for the last 14 games to 7-7 with potential for an 8-6 finish.

Cole Tate will be back for Vandy next Friday, started taking ground balls yesterday. Hope was for him to be back for LSU but because JMac has been playing short so well, they’re going to stay cautious with Tate. Possibility that he returns as 3B and leave JMac at short, move Harber to 1B and Rogers out to RF.

Shane Marshall went out with what was geared to be a UCL but is only a forearm strain so he will be back kn a couple of weeks. Marshall has been getting some spot duty as a reliever and has been throwing 93-94. They’ve discussed him returning next year to be available as a 3rd catcher but with more emphasis on being a relief pitcher.

Drop the first game 2-6. Left way too many in base (again).

I've watched a good bit of LSU baseball as my neighbor is a huge LSU fan and we sit in the garage watching college baseball in general. I felt pretty good about our hitting last night going into the game knowing Hilliard was starting. That guy has been all over the place and very hittable. He went 100+ pitches last night and I felt like he was throwing junk the last 2 innings and we couldn't hit him. Was pretty disappointing we couldn't string some base hits when we had guys in scoring position. Just doesn't seem like much adjustment is made at all in plate approaches.

We are an excellent singles and walks team, average to below average in slugging and RBI. I really can’t account for what it is seeing as Tate, Harber, Collins, Wagner are all capable of driving the ball deep (hell, the whole lineup is capable really). We are just a poor clutch hitting team and this is a series where we will have to score runs to win

Blaylock must not be seeing the ball well. 3 swing and misses. 0-2 today.

Hand came off bag? Strick didn't challenge?

Only angle we had looked like he was easily safe. Stricklin came out immediately to argue but didn’t protest too long so he must have come off the back of the bag. Hope they get clarification postgame
