I’m both concerned and relieved that I believe this season is trending toward the Mizzou series being very important. I don’t feel good at all about our remaining three series on the road.

If Cannon comes back this weekend still himself, I think we can ride out the Mizzou and Bama series. Push on Vandy, LSU and Tennessee are probable losses on the road.

I’d wager we go 7-8 against that stretch putting us at a respectable 16-14 in conference.

Midweek games are going to continue to be the bugaboo as we simply don’t have great midweek arms and KSU/Ga State are solid teams with reason to play us well.

So we could head into Hoover at 33-21 (16-14)

Hope that you’re right. I’ve been fearful that we’ve been punching above our weight and the last five games have been the other shoe slowly dropping. My biggest fear is that LSU and UT get the brooms out at home.

Tennessee I will absolutely assume is a sweep until we prove it isn’t.

LSU is good not great. Playing at the Box is the X factor but I think we can win at least 1.

Rotation for this weekend has been set:

Friday - Crisp
Saturday - Cannon (40-60 pitch count)
Sunday - Sullivan

Stricklin says it’s possible for Cole Tate to be back for LSU next weekend.

If Crisp can gives us a solid 4-5, we can bring in Woods and Gowen to get us through the night. Cannon tomorrow for 3-4 (pending efficiency).

Crisp looks like a midget when he heads to the dugout.

He doesn’t throw as hard as Kristofak but they’re very similar in physical stature and build
