What's your assessment of why he transferred? Processed?
He was recruited as a 4 star. At 6'3" he seemed like nice size for a Safety.

Dude played in every game as mop up after 2 years....he had 0 unassisted lead tackles. Not a fit, regardless of who lead the charge. Perhaps he balls out and stars at his next stop,....Hope the best for him and would be incredible to regret this one day. It happens with 19 year olds.

Tweener. Step slow at safety and little light to slide to ILB. Was just recruited over and wasn't gonna get time with Richie coming back and Cine jumping him.

Didn't use his redshirt yet, so he has 3 years to play 2. Watching him in high school it really seemed he was just told to go tackle people.... and he did that well. Lee County won state after he forced a fumble in the championship.

Redshirt year and a fresh start should help him out. Really good kid and actually very quiet to be such a big hitter.

Keep in mind, Coley was offered OC gig at AnM by Fischer, and turned it down to remain a position coach at UGA because his wife and kids like Athens so much. I don't see coley leaving because of a demotion as long as he still pulls in a half mil a year here. If he leaves, it would be because he was told to leave or get fired.

I would do the same thing. Live in Athens with wife and kids making 500k or live in college station and make $900k? I would stay in Athens.

I forgot about that AnM situation. I mean, you are right, I’d take that set-up in a heartbeat. If he wants to kick back, be the lead recruiter, and rake in 5 stars while taking in 500K+ I’m all for it. Just not something you see often after getting a demotion.

He’s a great recruiter. Apparently is still a lead on a lot of the 2021 guys, and if he is happy with his new lot in life more power to him. Hopefully he can stay in his lane and let Monken have full reign of the offense.

Coley made a little over a million this past year. Most of the staff has received offers from elsewhere the past month, including Coley.

Anybody seen anything about LSU trying to come after Dan Lanning when Dave Aranda left?

Lanning didn't take the offer at FSU with Norvell. He and Schumann are both under 30 and have promising futures.

They could of reached out to him. Not sure of any interest on either side there. Just assuming if he turned down Norvell, he'd stay, which would include a raise next month.

Of course he's not only been a coordinator for one year, but only coaching a few years. He's on the fast track for sure. He's hell on the recruiting trail and the kids love playing for him.

We're in a good spot with Schumann right behind him whenever he looks to go somewhere.

Surely we are not fixing to lose a 5 star tackle and possible starter to Arkansas...I get Pittman is there but it's a full on rebuild in a division where even if they did recruit lights out they'd only be competitive every blue moon
