I've said my peace on Gibbs. To my eyes he's the best back in the state or at least on that first tier... Possible that it's looking good against less talented defenses. I'll defer to someone who knows the regions better, but his vision and cutting ability is far better than Tank for example.
Dell knows his stuff though so presumably there's something they don't like. Maybe they think he's hit his athletic ceiling in terms of strength/speed development or might have trouble adding mass to his frame. Not sure.

Got to see how attrition plays out
Damn americus. You are scaring me.
With luke Fords transfer, Nauta leaving early to get his 2 receptions with the Lions, no tight end in the 2017 class... can we really have attrition at this position for 2020?

We can always line up with 3 tackles

I was hoping that we could get Gibbs, but I'm a Dalton Catamount and it's a selfish wish for Cats to end up in Athens.

You're a Catamount?
I played against them in HS many, many, many years ago. They came to our place my senior year in three chartered greyhound buses. The team came off the bus wearing black pants, white shirts and a red blazer with the school emblem on the pocket and wearing black ties, iirc. I think altogether they brought three greyhounds for the football team, 2 or three for the band and several chartered for fans.
It was something you would expect from Westminster or one of the big time private schools in Atlanta. I heard they had 7 players whose parents were millionaires in the carpet industry up there.

Totally believable. DHS hasn't put a Dawg on the field since Watts Dantzler.

It's important to distinguish that I'm a DHS grad, not a former player.
It's amusing that a school in the hills of NW Georgia has a reputation in the area as being upper-crust, and they don't think it be like it is, but it do.

I've been wracking my brain for the names of some of their players, but it's been too long ago.
Dalton has had some really good teams in the past. most have been a good while ago, even before my time, though.

Kit Carpenter was a pretty good linebacker there back in the early 90s.

I played in the 70s, so he is way behind my time. But they have had some good teams and individual players, too.

Kit and his brother Casey were classmates of mine. '94 for me.

Gotta like the odds on Broderick Jones sticking since Auburn's oline coach just quit.

AD, we going after any more RB or Safeties in this class
Posted on 1/7/20 at 9:31 pm to AllDawgCK
RB for sure.
2021 class of RB's looks good and it would be nice pitching that first one in would be only one we'd take.
Really like Evan Pryor in 2021.
We keep offering DB's so that's something to watch as the class winds up.
Wouldn't be surprised if a few committed, yet unsigned RB's visit in the next few weeks. Although nothing going on this cycle should surprise anyone.

Any chance on Huntley? Read he’s gonna take an OV. Maybe flip him and hold hope he talks his buddy Burch into Coming along?

Will pursue them both until they sign, but highly unlikely

He quit? I don't think they have been happy with him for awhile. Depending on who they get, it could actually help them, ironically enough.

Pryor looks good and I also like Cody Brown. I would almost like to forgo an extra back this year if we felt we could get those two of Brown and Pryor.
