North Shore junior QB. Kid is going to be good.

If he sticks with his commitment to Va Tech we'll get to see him against that stellar Ga. Tech defense.

Is there any chance Evans has been committed all along but for some reason we wanted to keep it hidden?

Would be a hell of a troll to have Evans silent this whole time. Lol

I am guessing Tate Ratledge, since Rome is in Floyd County and Darlington HS is in Rome.

What HS did you go to?

guys, this well just keeps on giving life:

McKinnley Jackson's recruitment might turn into an OM vs LSU, UGA & AU $ituation

I want Washington just to give the old middle finger to Kirbs. His cheating bowl cut could legit jump us if they land the guys they're leading for. Which doesn't really matter this year because our class is outstanding and meets our needs regardless of what anyone else does. But still would be nice to beat their cheating butts.

he Negative recruits like Crazy and doesn’t give a shite. Saban has too much respect to do that and I wish he didn’t. Kirby also probably has a bigger pool of money to give recruits than Saban does

This is just precious. Saban is a mercenary who would sell his mother for a win. Suggesting Saban wouldn't break every rule in the book to gain an advantage is laughable, and it's even more laughable they claim Kirby has more money to give.

Here are the two I like to pair up:

Because he Negative recruits like Crazy and doesn’t give a shite. Saban has too much respect to do that and I wish he didn’t.

And

All Saban has to say is "If you to go UGA your arse will be on the bench as 6th or 7th on the depth chart, whereas we're thin at the position and you can start from day 1." I'd love to see how Kirby would counter that.

Saban has too much respect to negative recruit, but next year all he has to do is negative recruit.

I'm not from Rome, originally from Savannah.

My wife and I moved here 11 years ago to get away from the hustle & bustle of metro Atlanta. She grew up on 125 acres in south Fulton county (yes, the family still owns the property) and Towne Lake was NOT her idea of married life. So we had a friend who was a real estate agent; we gave her 5 counties and told her to find 5-10 acre foreclosures in a price range. We bought a 20 acre property with 2 houses and a barn.

I'm in the Pepperell district, but my son attends Rome City Schools.

I apologize, but I think I had asked you that before and I forgot. I am very familiar with the Rome area.

So, you live in the Lindale area. Years ago Pepperell had some really good teams. Had a QB named Phil Baker that was lights out.

Just tip your cap to Georgia and move on. Recruiting is a down and dirty business all around. It is what it is. They're very good at recruiting and have been for what, 4 years now? It's not new.

We've got a great class with high ceiling guys at important positions. We should all be very happy. No need to continually harp on another program.

This sentiment is why I largely respect Bama fans. They usually show some class - especially outside of this board. Imagine if some other fan bases that won't be named had their success in recent years.

One aspect of our recruiting that seems to distinguish our strategy is recruiting key players who in turn recruit on out behalf basically broadcasting to potential recruits: Hey, come join the party at Georgia.

Honestly, the state of Georgia has been a hotbed for recruiting for a long time yet our state is maligned for not being able to win championships in any sport weather it be the Dawgs, the Braves or the Falcons. I would love to see set of instate recruits over multiple seasons make a commitment to winning a NC at UGA. We have the instate talent to do it; we just need the right combination of players to get it done.

that's SOG, he's alwasy been a good one. Most of the rest seem to be the "we're perfect and and the best at everythign and anythign good that happens to others at our expense means they're defeinitely cheating" variety.

IMO there is definitely an issue between him and the coach.

He apparently refused to relinquish his cell phone at lights out last night and then got into it with the coach.

Pepperell was very good this year. Lost to Darlington in the opener and then to Rockmart in the region. They were the #2 seed in 7-AA and lost at Thomasville in round 2 of the playoffs.

The region up here next year will look very different. Rockmart moves up to AAA and Armuchee drops to single A. So the region will only be 6 teams.

Skill set for Evans is obviously there but coaches are going to have their hands full with this guy it seems. I hope it all works out for him but he seems to have some growing up to do.
