Walthour enrolled at Hutchinson as a full qualifier and can enroll at Georgia after this semester essentially making him a member of the 2019 class.

I was confused about how this works under the new rules, so I looked it up a couple of months ago. If a player signs but goes to JUCO and then comes back later, he may show up in the later class on recruiting sites but he'll still be an initial counter for the year he first signed. Which is nice because if Walthour re-signs with Georgia, he won't affect the initial counter limit for 2019. Of course he still impacts the 85 total for next year though.

Got a link for that? Been meaning to share on another board. I know I read it somewhere but couldn't find again.

It's in the NCAA bylaws. I'll see if I can find the link.

Here's the rule that I believe applies, I didn't keep the link.

15.5.6.3.8 Returning Two-Year Transfer. [FBS/FCS] A student-athlete who previously was an initial counter and who transferred to a two-year college shall not be an initial counter upon return to the original institution.

I've read, but not sure if it's accurate, that this is how we were able to sign 26 recruited athletes in 2018. Under the new rule, since Devonte Wyatt was counted against the 2017 class when he first signed with Georgia, he was able to be counted back when he re-signed 2018.

Does Robertson have 3 years of eligibility remaining? I thought I read he received a medical redshirt last year.

Not sure. Doesn’t matter. He won’t be here for 3 years.

Not sure if this is meant to contradict wd or just a statement that you saw. I think this is just a distinction between NCAA bylaws (ie. he will not be an initial counter again) and how 247 rates incoming recruiting classes (ie. is he a "new addition" to the roster). 247 has always made the distinction between signed NLI vs Enrollees in past classes, so they will keep Walthour as a "signee" in the previous class but a recruit in this one.

AJC article on Jalen Perry.
Class AAAAAA preseason all-state team
Best player: Jalen Perry. The Dacula junior had 44 tackles, 16 pass breakups and three interceptions in 2017 on defense, where he projects to play in college. On offense, he rushed 46 times for 637 yards and seven touchdowns and had 27 receptions for 534 yards and five touchdowns. Perry is committed to Georgia.

Anything to worry about with Haselwood and Miami. He keeps getting seen wearing Miami gear.

I’d rather him end up Miami over AU if he does bolt. Hopefully it’s him playing the game but we shall see.

Not at this time... Per Miami insider. Could change in future but he's not optimistic at this point.

Article a few days ago he was quoted as saying we would really have to mess up for him to not enroll, like lie to him. Worrying about what he wears is probably a waste of time.
