Only because he has more years to play. Holyfield is a beast

Agree. If we're gonna make a title run next year, I'll take the senior who is a great RB over a potentially great freshman. After that, we'll see who we sign at RB for 2020.

For next year, give me Holyfield. If there’s a silver lining to potentially losing sanders it’s that we should at least have a better pitch for Zach Evans in the 2020 class since it’s possible we will be without both Swift and Holyfield with “only” Zeus, Cook, Mcintosh, and whoever else we might take today

Are you kidding me? You’d take a high school senior that we have no clue about potential wise over a guy who mashes SEC LB’s

The real question is whether Zamir White can get back to even close to what he was and can he stay healthy. I remember Trinton Sturdivant. Guy was a stud but suffered three ACL injuries.

Apples and oranges comparison. Zeus should be fine; rehab for the injury has completely changed and individual character matters a lot. Zeus is very similar to chubb in that regard

Yes, because we always have trouble signing top backs. If Sanders is to Bama, it's all but confirmed we retain a Swift/Holyfield backfield next season which is HUGE if our sights are set on another NCG appearance.

I'm less concerned about losing him than I am the fact we're losing him to Bama.

Not foregone that it’s Bama we’d lose him to. Florida a much bigger player here

Dean hurts more than Sanders, but if Sanders is leaving because of Holyfield then at least we don't have a running back edition of the Justin Fields situation on our roster.

You can’t compare a RB’s knee injury to one of an OL. Totally different demands of the position. Zeus has the time to sit and balance out the strength if both injuries if necessary.

To be honest though, we don’t know what he will bring to the table either. We are fine with Holyfield, Swift, and Cook for next year. Really wish we’d stop giving it to Herrien but the kid has earned opportunities.

Missing on any defensive player hurts more than any offensive player at this point. We are loaded on offense but could really improve if we got Haselwood. Defense, we have more larger holes. They will be filled but haven’t been filled as quickly as the ones on offense.

Sturdivant only had two that I know of. ACL's are often stronger after reconstruction than they were before. Since White's tears involved only one ligament, there's a good chance he can make a full recovery. We'll have to wait and see.

Losing Dean would really suck for the future. I think we’re going to be fine in 2019 and maybe 2020 but beyond that Dean could be an All American cornerstone to our defense

Bama folks don't seem to buy Sanders to Bama yet. Of course, that could just be a lot of knocking on wood on their part.

Losing him to Ole Piss sucks even more, although that would ultimately be better for us.

Nothing is certain at this point. Best thing to do is wait until their announcements. These recruiting services love creating drama this close to announcements. Kirby has yet to let us down yet. Regardless of if we get them or not, we are in great shape.
