It’s great that he’s on the market I guess...but, was he not playing much at Michigan? If not, why would we care about bringing him here? I think OSU proved their D was a B1G created myth this season.

Just a heads up, DJ Williams is now a 4-star on 247 and ranked inside their Top 300.

We would've taken him in a second, had he signed with us. IIRC, we were pretty upset when he went north.

Sounds like we would try to do a similar move as Robertson, get him eligible to play in 2019 off a med red from this year

I still think he is criminally underrated. If we don't get Trey Sanders I hope we pick him up.

PS. Dear Darnell Wright,
This is what happens when you let your HS coach steer your recruiting

He was hurt this past season. Knee injury, I believe. Pretty sure he got playing time his freshman year.

He probably is figuring out that Harbaugh is not the coach a lot of people thought he was, and then when the Michigan winter hit.....hellooooo south.

If he can still be a player, ok...I don’t think it’s worth wasting a lot of effort on him.

What makes you think he couldn’t be a player?

Much like DRob, the work was already done during his proper recruiting cycle. I'd be fascinated to see if Kirby has stayed in touch with him.

I don’t know if he can or can’t. I just have a feeling that after all the drama with his recruitment, finding out that he is leaving Michigan leaves me feeling like he’s not likely to have the mental or emotional constitution I would want in our locker room.

Was bound to happen. UGA and UA coaches know 100x more about HS prospect player evaluations than the recruiting sites. If both those programs want you, you’re probably a 4-star talent.

I think he also had an appendicitis (how ever you spell that)

I can't in good conscience do this, I want my players to go were ever makes them happy.

Or maybe he was just miserable being in a frozen wasteland far away from home. I think we'd take him in a second and try to get a hardship waver so he could play immediately.
