Of that group Walker, Norton and Edoigbe are UGA leans. Walker is a game changer and Norton can play every position on the line. They are both “must haves”.
I think Chaney and Fann go to SCAR, assuming UGA doesn’t make a push. I know Fann in particular wants to go to UGA. He’s even said he’ll workout one more time for UGA to prove he’s worth a scholly.
As for Hinton, he is from the North, and his parents are pushing the academic card hard. If Khakis is fired, which is somewhat unlikely, I think UGA will have a better chance.

I'll get to updating the offers, etc. soon.

I sure hope we have offered him

Pretty sure we have, but not positive he's at the top of our board.

I don't know if it is that unlikely or not. If Harbaugh gets beat again by Ohio St. he will be 0-4 against OSU. And the game is at Ohio St. and they will probably be favored by 7-10 points.

He has to be higher than the other fann.

They won't fire him if they go 8-5 again, but his seat will get toasty. I could also see him bolting for the NFL

Looks solid. With Pappoe seemingly a target for us at ILB, I'm unclear on if Bertrand is looked at for outside or inside, we may not have a lot of offers for outside backers in this class just based on how many we took in 18.
Weirdly, the "roster count" on 247 for his schools he has offers from is way off. It's showing CB totals for Florida, and Safety totals for UGA... was trying to gauge how many we have on the roster in total quickly relative to other schools he has offers from, but will have to figure it out another way.

Kinda odd with Kirby saying he is looking for taller players.

Keep in mind that quite a few of the "OLB" prospects we signed will actually start out or transition to other spots. Off the top of my head:
Otis Reese - Safety/Star
Channing Tindall - ILB
Quay Walker - Flexible, but likely ILB
Brenton Cox - OLB at first but expect him to grow into a DE.

What?

Trust me, if a player is elite, and he is at a position of need he will likely get an offer from UGA, unless he is a midget, lol

Someone on one of those podcasts quoted it (Bleacherreport). I'll post the link when I find it.

I think 6ft is plenty tall enough. I think it's in reference to those 5'8 guys we used to land a lot that were great players but couldn't deal with jump balls.

a 6 foot linebacker is fine. If we end up not wanting him, we can choose not to pursue him, but this kid being 6 feet his junior year of HS is an absurd reason not to offer someone

I agree on Otis Reese and Tindall for sure.
I think Quay will find his home at OLB, just from a skills and mental aptitude standpoint... could be wrong, but I don't see him spending significant time inside.
Mostly agree on Cox as well, but it may be 2 years before he makes the move to DE and if it happens, it still may be hybrid/split time.
That still leaves Adam Anderson and Azeez Ojulari in this class along with Jaden Hunter, Walter Grant, and Robert Beal (similar to Cox possibly?), not to mention any guys that might be classified as ILB on the roster now that might play some outside as well.
I don't think we'll take one or less OLB, but we may be more selective with offers on that front this year.

If you want a look into how Kirby and his staff will approach recruiting I highly suggest getting the book called 4th and Goal Everyday.
Granted it is a book about Alabama but it was published in 2017 so was written just after the 15 season goes into great depth on how Saban recruited what he looked for in players and how they determined if a kid is worth a scholarship offer. Was written by Phil Savage longtime personnel guy for Saban and Belicheck. I’m only on chapter 3 now but it’s a great read to get inside the head of Saban and Kirby in what they look for in recruits
