Gets his name out in the news cycle, since there's arguably no hotter team in CFB than the Dawgs, I suppose. If you hitch your wagon to UGA (even falsely) I guess he figures bigger mid-tier programs will take a look at him.

Chaney? He has definitely taken a lot of visits to schools other than UGA but I haven't seen any rumors of a flip. We've also sent out a lot of offers recently to some intriguing DL prospects, so no real reason to be upset about this one.

I'm never a fan of parting ways with a kid who really wants to be a Dawg, but he's got a year+. He'll have plenty of time to get his act together and find another landing spot.
