Yeah, that's about as good a DB class as you can pull, and would set us up to have a nice run of elite secondary play combined with last year's class.
As of today, Georgia is in the driver seat for all 5 guys...

Are we really out of it with Emery?
Is he really gonna let 1 crappy game derail him coming ot UGA...we just wont he East, swept our rivals and did so running the ball for 300+ yards a game.

It’s not just one game. It’s hearing over and over that there aren’t enough carries for him in our backfield.

Why would he want to have all the tread taken off his tires with 25 carries a game. Look at sony and nick's success splitting carries in comparison to guys like dalvin cook.

Yea the Holyfield/Swift tandem has turned out to be monstrous for us. You throw in a seasoned cook and a healthy Zeus and it doesn't look good for anyone who doesn't think they can beat any of them out

Rumors swirling that there may be a kid in the mix... Also has been described as a "family decision"...
That's not to say he wouldn't have changed his mind anyways due to the depth chart, but I highly doubt that our bad game in BR had much if anything to do with his decision.

If so that's understandable, but why then would he be visiting UT?

Also we got two CBs for Mcintosh so I would bet that's who might be committing today

Maybe I'm wrong, but seems like Ken Malcome 2.0.

I think that's a little bit misleading. It's not like Sony hasn't been hurt this year, or Dalvin wasn't good when healthy.
But if you're worried about being the 4th or 5th string guy for a year or two, it's understandable. It's not like he doesn't think he can beat these guys out. He just wants to show his skill more often. That's the way those schools are phrasing it to him anyways and I don't blame them for doing so.
He could be great in Athens, and I think he and Swift would be that next 1-2 punch, so that's how I'd phrase things to him if I'm Kirby. He just might want more touches Freshman year than we're able to provide.

Maybe Kirby was just to honest with him and told him that Zamir was the next best RB at UGA

Lol, you’ve never seen McIntosh play so how can you make that comparison?
Before you bring up his 4.8 40 time, also consider James Cook ran 4.78 at the same camp.

High school 40 times are a nearly irrelevant stat. They are rarely accurate, not regulated, etc.

This... if the kid is very fast, he's probably running track and has a 100M time. Those are much more reliable.
Posted on 11/13/18 at 1:57 pm to fibonaccisquared
And even track times don't directly correlate. Bottom line is that straight line speed is one factor that makes a great player, but not the only one, and likely not even the most important one.
A great 100m or 110m hurdle time is a significant data point to me. A 40yd dash time is garbage to me, because most of them are fabricated, inaccurate, or intentionally "inflated" by a coach/handler hand timing.

Yeah that’s my point.
I get people are underwhelmed with McIntosh, but that’s due in large part based on what we lost (Emery). We badly need another RB, and no we won’t get another Emery. He’s special, but if we can lock up McIntosh, that should be considered a win.
