In recent years I haven't been looking at as many recruit videos until after signing day, but decided to watch JH on HUDL to see what the fuss was about. Those clips are not in the same neighborhood as a guy like AJ Green's were and I didn't see anything defenses will have to scheme for at the SEC level. We'll see how it all turns out but, #1 ranking aside, this decommitment won't adversely affect Georgia's offensive output over the next 4 years, IMO.

Georgia needs WR recruits who are great athletes and want to be well coached up for a pro-style passing game. That's what this staff has been doing and there are plenty of prospects available every year.

I get people are emotional about a decommitment but this is a horrible take. JH is a legit WR and will probably be a 3 and out. Every scout raves about his route running, hands and ability to high point the ball. Those are 3 elite skills and he has them all. I hate that he’s no longer committed but your post sounds very butthurt.

Well, I can always tell I'm in trouble when the counter argument is that my opinion "sounds very butthurt". But, just for the sake of clarity, my butt is fine and so is my emotional state. If you "hate" that he's decommitted, you're the one who's emotional and you obviously have company, but it doesn't change my opinion. I think we won't miss a beat because of this decommitment. Like I said, JH's videos don't scream "elite" to me and are simply not comparable to a truly elite WR like AJ Green's HS videos showed. The consensus on HS players can be wrong, so we'll have to wait and see.

Okay, substitute butt hurt with any synonym of stupid, I don’t care. My point still stands.

Whenever a big time prospects decommits, every fan base has the village idiot who is a scout that proclaims the player is either overrated or wasn’t a take. You’re that guy right now.

That would make me "stupid" if the "village idiot" was always wrong, but they're not because some big time prospects, a not inconsiderable percentage, actually are overrated. My opinion of a recruit's video is based on what I see, and that's the case whether they commit to UGA or somewhere else. We've had and have some that I think are overrated too. Sometimes I'm wrong and sometimes not.

BTW, I didn't say he wasn't a take. I just think we'll replace him this year or next with prospects that fill our needs just as well.

Nah... You've got wd wrong here... He's a terrible poster, no doubt, but this isn't what he's doing really... Right accusation of village idiot. Wrong motivations.

If I'm the village idiot, then you're the village stalker, following me around the board. And an idiot to boot because you claim to have programming skills but don't even know how to evaluate a conditional statement. BTW, have you noticed that Mark Webb is not a starter at cornerback? Did you notice that our deep pass coverage did come back to hurt us badly in our losses last year? Have you noticed that I may be wrong sometimes, but not nearly as often as you claim.

Any credibility to the rumor that Nolan Smith may decommit?

Prior to this recent post, please find and indicate the last time I made a post about you or to you... I literally think about you less than I think about what to do in the event of nuclear holocaust. You exist on a board and I occasionally acknowledge your presence. Congrats. You've got a stalker.

If you're still fricking hung up on that thread from however long ago, congrats bud. You lost then and you're still losing now.

lolwut... To my knowledge I've never claimed that Mark Webb would be starting for us at cornerback. You'd have to refresh my memory here on what this point is in reference to.

quote:

Did you notice that our deep pass coverage did come back to hurt us badly in our losses last year?

What specifically is this referencing? "In our losses last year" implies that deep pass coverage was a problem in more than one loss. Given that we lost the Auburn game on the line of scrimmage, this would seemingly be insufficient to make the point valid, no? Oh, you mean deep pass coverage came back to hurt us on one specific play and you'd like to take credit for that now? Bravo. Pretty sure I never claimed we had perfect deep pass coverage or that Dom Sanders was infallible... did I?

quote:

Have you noticed that I may be wrong sometimes, but not nearly as often as you claim.

Well, given that I made no official claim as to the relative frequency of your inaccurate opinions, that would be very difficult for you to prove, would it not?

Thanks for helping prove my point though.

I haven't read what I would consider a credible report. Just some stuff mentioned on various forums that I read, which ultimately means nothing. Just was curious if anyone had heard anything credible.

It was started by a hopeful Auburn fan.

Some of them are straight up messed up. they think they are going to get Haselwood and we are goign to lose Nolan Smith and Haselwood.

We might lose Haselwood, but we might get him back. Who knows?

I have a feeling they are going to see some attrition. If we don't get Haselwood, I would think he goes to Miami. Meanwhile their prized WR recruit Pickens could flip to us or Alabama, if he even qualifies.

Personally...I think Haselwood goes to Miami, we flip Ramel Keyton and Alabama flips Pickens.

For other recruiting news, I am hearing Tyrique Stevens could choose Miami, now, but if that happens, I think we still end up with Cine, Elam and one more. Would love it if we could pull Stevens, Elam and Cine, though.

Just guesses.

If I were Auburn fans, I think I would worry about my own recruiting instead of a rivals. They haven't pulled a legit Olineman in two cycles (Counting this one) They are in it for one really good Olineman, but he is a guard, and they are desperately in need of tackles.

He has good hands and good receiving numbers, but a 4.82 40 at the Atlanta regional wasn't very impressive.

You know that won't happen, even if he's performing better.

You've been hinting, and sometimes directly saying, that anyone who thinks thinks Fromm is probably more prepared to run the offense right now is racist. Are you now suggesting that Kirby is racist too, that he won't start Fields even if he knows Fields is better?
