hope it's DaWGs for Campbell and not bammer, even though it appears him and surtain don't won't to play with each other, maybe some kind of rivarly between the two as to whom is the better CB.
I haven't been following as closely lately, but if I'm not mistake, last I heard was Surtain to LSU, ITS to Alabama and Campbell to UGA.

Ideal for us imo, Bama getting both just does not bode well for us lol

I agree.
On another note....Ohio State passed us in the recruiting rankings on 247 Composite. They did sign another kid yesterday, so that has a smuch to do with it as anything. We should take the lead back as soon as we sign another kid.
OSU has 23 kids signed or committed and we have 22.

Bama might get ITS and Surtain

Always possible, I guess, but they already have 3 CB's signed.(Jobe, Armour-Davis and Savion Smith) That would have them signing 5CB in this class. Seems like a lot for one class, but they could move one to safety or something. Like I said...possible, but I would be surprised.
ETA
Fitzpatrick and Harrison both declared for the draft for Alabama (Their starting safeties) so maybe they move a CB up to safety?
TideSaint would have abetter feel for what they are doing. they don't have any safety's signed or committed, but I'm not sure who they are working on, either.

Guess we dropped again with the new Rivals rankings. Earlier yesterday we were at 309.7 Now we're at 309 flat.
Oh well. Hopefully we end up with the #1 class. Not that our player ranking difference should affect us that much, but going forward in recruiting it will be nice to mention to future recruits about the way we're building our program going forward.

Looks like Campbell is solid to us, and along with Davis and Walthour (if that doesn't change), I would think we are solid for the #1 class. If we get Walker that would pretty much clinch it.
The two question marks in my mind is Walker and Bush. They would both be great pulls. I think we pull Walker simply because we have the final visit. he seems to sway with the wind, so it will be big to have him on campus last. Bush? Just seems like too many schools getting his attention late in the process. We'll see, soon, I guess.

And *this* is why you saw some of the re-rankings that you did... not very exciting to have the #1 class locked up in December. Business first... ranking system second. Never forget.
Still a good chance we take it back over, but where things stood previously, it was unlikely to be as much of a conversation.

Correct, dropping Ford and Cook like they did when Rivals came out and completely sung a different tune on both you have to realize it’s a buisness. They got Ohio States TE ranked 1 and ours dropped 20 slots and rivals was adamant Luke Ford outplayed him. Kinda makes you wonder. They went as far as to say it was no contest, Ford was bigger , faster and stronger.

I thought Cook was rated a little bit more highly than he should have been before the season started, and maybe a little bit during the season. But if you're not going to drop him then, you can't drop him after he plays the way he did during the All-American game and practices.
Fib makes a good point about it not even being a conversation a month ago. Now, there are at least talking points made and clicks had with only a couple weeks remaining.

Cook if anything is underrated. He is a weapon with the ball in his hands. I don’t care if he’s a reciever or a back. By far my favorite player in this class.

I think Josh Jobe is more of a Safety type anyway. Some people are claiming Armour-Davis is going to be a slot guy, but who knows. Saivion Smith could be a one and done because he'll be draft eligible after next season.
Our insiders are gaining confidence in landing both Surtain and ITS.

Wow. Now that would be stout.

As long as we get Campbell, I'll take that, I think Campbell will be the best CB of the three then all is said and done, those two are gonna be best though, no doubt.

The only enjoyment I would get out of that would be the melt of LSU fans.

I'm having a hard time caring if we get the #1, 2, or 3 class.

It’s not about getting the number 1 class. It’s just a meaningless title however it’s a great recruiting tool. Hey look, we got the number 1 class last year and played for a national title. We are doing big things here at Georgia. The money schools like OSU don’t need that....we went from being a borderline top 10 school to finishing with the 3rd and now quite possibly the number 1 class. It’s a damn good thing you can sell to 2019 and 2020 kids especially if we lose a few games next year.!

The Kirby copter was in Columbus today at Northside high school. I know they have a 3 star WDE fir 18. Couldn’t find any 19 kids we would be after over there. Not sure if insurance but thought if would be something worth talking about.

Caleb Johnson SDE - He is a 3 star guy. Is the back up plan if Quay sticks with BAMA or if someone doesn’t qualify? I think he is a UT target from what I can gather.
