No need to try and make sense of it. He's said in another thread that Webb is moving back to WR I believe... Something about a 247 depth chart article.
Not sure why you're taking that attitude. What I said about Webb's position uncertainty was exactly what was said in Jake Rowe's slideshow on the 2018 defensive depth chart regarding Webb. I also made it clear that I didn't know if was true. If you think it makes no sense, take it up with Jake.

Yea an NLI doesn't lock the school to the recruit, it locks the recruit to the school. That was one of the reason Roquan didn't sign one back when he committed.

I didn't say it wasn't possible, simply indicating that nothing was set in stone... in the thread where you posted it, you concluded that because Rowe indicated that he *might* move back to WR that he's somehow not having success at CB, while all indications seem to be that he has been impressing there... I'd say probably best to reserve judgement there until the coaches make decisions during spring camp.
Regardless of where Webb ends up I think I'd still prefer us take Campbell + ITS/Goodrich if we could get them... personally would be a pass on O'Neal, but that's just me... feel like we're stacked with safeties and CBs that may have to transition to Safety. Corners with length and elite cover skills don't grow on trees.

Agree with this this. I would take Campbell and ITS if they wanted to come here, but I would be shocked to hear they BOTH wanted to come. I would even drop a DT to take ITS/Campbell, and take an extra DT next year when there is a higher quality at that position, but I'm sure some on here would disagree with that.
I do tend to agree with Americus' final tally of signees unless something changes. (I reread what I wrote and it sounded like I was validating him. He does not need my validation, obviously, since he knows much more about things than I do)

We were shocked when the following committed:
Justin Fields
Cade Mays
Nedab Joseph
Adam Anderson
Brenton Cox
Jameree Slayer
Okay not shocked but if you predicted we would get each of these guys in this class you’d have been crazy. Don’t doubt Kirby and Mel. They will do something to get their attention on their official visits and I would honestly say we have above 50 percent chance of landing those two because Kirby and co is crazy good at recruiting.

FYI, we got a crystal ball for Tommy Bush.
I think Kirby is developing depth in this group and the star power will come in next year.

No, what I said was, "If that's true, the talk about his cornerback skills may be a little overdone , because we obviously could use another good corner with a year in the system."
I didn't "conclude" anything because of what Rowe wrote. I started with a conditional clause, and then I followed up with a possible interpretation if that condition was met. I would think that someone who claims to write code would understand how an if/then statement works. And the word "may" expresses a possibility, not a conclusion.

conclude: arrive at a judgment or opinion by reasoning
quote:
Definition: A conditional statement, symbolized by p q, is an if-then statement in which p is a hypothesis and q is a conclusion. The logical connector in a conditional statement is denoted by the symbol . The conditional is defined to be true unless a true hypothesis leads to a false conclusion.
Do we really need to get into another semantic argument where I make you look like a clown?
ETA: If you'd like to do it, create another thread. I can assure you that neither I, nor anyone else reading this thread gives a flying shite about your desire to try and save face or prove that you some how have the intellectual capacity to explain your way out...

Legit questions, and I know it’s been discussed, but how many spots do we currently have available in this class with respect to the early enrollees?
Also, if Tommy Bush, Otis Reese, ITS, and TC want in is Wildgoose a keeper or who are we telling we are full?

Not sure I understand the question. If you're asking relative to the total incoming recruits, we *believe* that the class should have 25 spots total still (Marvin getting backcounted from his blue shirt into Wyatt's spot in the 17 class - last year this could have been done it would seem).
Given that we had 20 sign, this would leave 5 remaining... one of which is almost assuredly the DT - Davis, unless he changes his mind for some reason... he was sent an LOI to sign in the ESP.
If there is still an outstanding question, might need to clarify a bit.

Well, per above... 5 - 1 leaves 4 additional spots...
Americus has been pretty clear he thinks we likely land:
Bush - or comparable big body receiver (but most likely Bush)
Tyson Campbell - ITS or Goodrich being possibilities here
Quay Walker - Reese potentially the backup to this slot
And still keeping Walthour in the class so long as grades/score requirements look to be met
As to someone getting told we're full... it may come down to timing and who all is looking to commit. Most assume that Wildgoose doesn't make it into this class at this time. Read back through the thread a few pages back though, as AD has gone on record as saying watch for Wildgoose to make an NFL roster at some point in the future... he's more of a project which may be the reason we can't get him in this class unfortunately.

Isn't there are hard 25 limit? We already have 23 counting Walthour, Wildgoose, and Davis, who I assume we're still taking. Can we sign all of those if we got them?

The knowledgeable posters around here that I trust like Americus, have said Davis is a take. We will see on Walthour. If he qualifies, he is a take as well. Coaches like Wildgoose, but I don’t think he is going to part of our class unless some other kids change their mind.
Assuming Walthour is in:
Davis
Walthour
Campbell or ITS probably Campbell
Walker or Reese probably Walker
Bush
I really wish we had room for Reese personally because I think he is going to be an absolute Monster

Chatter on the other board is that Walthour may not qualify.

I'm confident that a few will pop at some point in the next 4 weeks. Call it a hunch.

Keep in mind we are coming out of a dead period and just starting the last run of official visits. Also note that the remaining kids we are after are all high profile guys. They will likely wait until NSD to publically commit so they can play their version of "the hat game"

It appears that Nadab Joseph isn't enrolled yet. That might not be a good sign. I'll defer to when Americus can give more information about it, as it could mean nothing.
