Side note and PSA for the readers, the Alex Jones level conspiracy theory being spun on the SEC Recruiting board by our Florida and auburn friends is a thing of beauty and deserves a read.

I thought it started out pretty good.

I always figured he would make a great WR after seeing some of those highlights.

If he doesn't like dishing out contact you'd have to think he wouldn't like receiving it either.

He was an excellent 7 on 7 player, but that doesn't cut it in tackle football.

I know we cheat. Every school does. But we finally do what every says we should have been doing the whole time and it suddenly looks suspicious to them

Edit: we finally lock down the state and reel in the 5 stars.

How about the departed George Moreland? That was a real character.

He was in gnarly car accident back in March. Probably hasn't gotten over it mentally. There wasn't any freshmen that made an instant impact on defense this past year.

I expect some of those guys to take a step forward come spring. Hopefully Gibbs is apart of that process.

I agree with Porter. I thought he was a better prospect at WR. Didn't really care if we got him, just wanted some Grayson momentum for a couple next year. The staff won't quit on him.

Everyone does it. Anyone thinking otherwise are still waiting on Santa. I've heard of nothing major. Funny stuff, but nothing that would sway a decision lol.

My wife is from Albany, we’ve been to that movie theater many times. I am not a fan of the Grayson kids, I thought Gibbs might be an attitude problem when he signed with us. Regarding McBride, he seems to be the perfect replacement for Roquan. He’s about as fast as anybody on the team, you would Think he would be the perfect sideline to sideline replacement for Roquan.

Probably not, but you just signed some studs that are looking for playing time.

We've all had our busts. It sounds like Gibbs is headed in that direction and it's okay. Like you said, it gave you a pipeline into Grayson.

One of the most important recruits Alabama had in 2008 was BJ Scott. Most of you have probably never heard his name, but he was a 5-star athlete out of Mobile who shocked everyone by committing to us early. He set the tone for the class that brought in Julio Jones, Mark Ingram, Mark Barron, Marcel Dareus, Barrett Jones, Donta Hightower, etc.

He played maybe 15 snaps before transferring to South Alabama before his Junior year. He didn't give us much on field production, but he is revered in Alabama circles for his importance in our resurgence.

Gibbs may be on a similar path.

ETA: We had a 2nd 5-star in that class that didn't pan out as well. His younger brother ended up being a major contributor to our strength and conditioning staff for a few years.

Point is you never know what good can come from just establishing relationships through recruiting.

You know I like facts Porter. I'd also say, our base is just as crazy as the rest, save a few.
Always hilarious to think a program isn't doing everything it can. Story of Pruitt, years back, basically stalking a kid. Funny shite. No piles of cash, cars, property titles coming through BM.

More like making sure shite happens, on what is now an uneven playing field, favored towards us.

Exactly. We hosted many, many kids we knew we weren't taking. You have to keep certain people happy lol. One of those visits to a Bama or UGA and and then offer hits tweet, and he's got 20 schools knocking on his door when he's home. Being a CEO of a Football program comes with some politics. Kirby was in the State House passing laws right after taking the job
Y'all better trust the mf'er. He's smart and will be around for a while....

Steve Wiltfong contemplates switching Tyson Campbell CB to the good guys:

Five-star CB Tyson Campbell feels very comfortable with #Alabama #Clemson #Georgia and #Miami. He talks about all four programs at @ArmyAllAmerican Bowl check in. My @247CrystalBall is on the #Hurricanes but I'm close to switching to the #Dawgs

Anybody know if Otis Reese went to watch UM play today? Seems if he was truly sold on UM he would make the trip down there to see them

Chad Simmons said if he had a crystal ball to give for Quay Walker, it'd be to UGA fwiw. That comes after talking to Quay down at the UA game.

Getting Reese, Walker, and Campbell would solidify this as the best class in UGA history
