Also, Tindall and Ford LOIs are officially in.

Only commits not signed are Brule, Davis, Walthour, and Wildgoose. I think you have to assume that those spots are at least sketchy.

From what I gather, Davis got an LOI yesterday, so he may be looking around. I believe the staff was pretty high on him. He is a big dude.

If we keep 2, that puts at 22, so we should be able to sign 3 more.

Where did you hear this?

My brother is a coach in the Charlotte area. I’ve seen Davis a few times live, and as I said when he committed, dude is super raw. He’s going to need at least redshirt, and I think he’ll probably get over recruited at some point. Surprised to hear he received a LOI

That was poorly phrased. But your answer will give me what I wanted. Thanks.

Word on the street is Alabama had concerns about Luke Ford's ability to qualify academically and backed off because of it.

I kid, I kid.

Nice pickup. I really wanted him in our class.

You still on the "early signing day is bad for the recruits" bandwagon?

Speaking of the early signing day, I saw projections from recruiting analysts when this was first announced that only 20-25% of recruits would take advantage of it.

The number was closer to 75%.

One of the national Rivals guys said this last night:

quote:

So what do I think of the Early Signing Period and is it here to stay? Overall, it has to be considered an overwhelming success with so many kids signing on the first day and it will likely steal the thunder of the February Signing Period moving forward. I’d like to see it placed a bit earlier - August would be my choice - to remove it from the coaches carousel, bowl practices and early enrollment but overall it went off without incident and seems to be a good thing for college football. It will change the way schools need to recruit, especially in the month of December, but they will adjust as they do to every new rule. And the Early Signing Period means a lot fewer surprises and less pomp and circumstance, although that will change as this becomes the main event next year and beyond.

Been my thinking for a while.

Honestly, without certain (couple very minor) circumstances, we'd be finished right now.

Hate to say the dreaded "mentioned", but I mentioned talent would be left behind. Not getting into those names. For my own curiosity, I'll add up their rankings and post that. For comparison and it's not gonna be to troll any team. Just curious.
No names though.

I'm also pretty sure on the class as a whole. I'd wager on it lol. With that said, it's the best class we've ever signed and will end up #1.....
