So read we might be looking at hiring Brick Haley and he is bringing this #2 DT Thompson kid with him.

Not exactly... The comments I quoted are pretty accurate IMO.
I think at the end of the day, at least one of Davis/Walthour has a spot - DT simply doesn't have a *ton* of elite options out there this year anyways... both may end up with a spot though unless the kid from Missouri wants to come (some are saying his interest is due to us interviewing Brick Haley for Sherrer's spot... Yes, please I think!?)
Similarly, I think Wildgoose (Divaad Wilson's teammate) has a tentative spot unless we pull an unexpected 4/5* CB with better cover skills (maybe a little overstocked on Safeties and Nadab has the body type that if he doesn't make it at corner, could transition to safety). I'd put it at 60/40 odds that he's not in the class, but I do think there is a chance he's still in.
Brule likely doesn't have a spot unless something falls through with Reese (or Quay Walker, but thinking he's going to stick to Bama personally). I could see him not waiting around to find out, so probably commits to TCU at some point in the not too distant future.
If you look at what other top end teams did today, there are several who had 3*'s who were not allowed to sign yet. Kind of the nature of the beast... it was *supposed* to help the marginal guys, but what it really did was allow teams to build their "foundation" and then supplement... on the upside, it gives those guys time to see how other classes have shaken out as well, but ultimately, I'll be curious to see if the early signing period sticks around or not. Clearly it went well for us...
All of this is strictly my opinion. I have no inside info, so will defer to Americus and others on that front.

Make. It. So...
BTW... if possible, getting quick snippet of the player actually making a play would be awesome... but it might be a 1800mb gif file as well... totally understand if it doesn't work.

They said on Espn that 2 of the top 10 in GA were qbs and obviously we were going to only sign one
1, 2 and 7 are all QBs
We have 2-6, and there are rumors we have a shot to flip number 9.
ETA: That basically means 5/6 of the top 8.

While you're at it, if you could turn this one into Nick Saban asking "please sir may I have some crumbs" and Kirby as the Soup Nazi (maybe Dell McGee on the phone in the background?)... that would be fricking epic...

Not sure yet... sooooo much to get through in terms of content generated today.
I'm sure this one will get an update, but thought it was cool to overlay all the commitment snippets to the Sony Michel UGA rap track:

The Missouri situation is more complicated than just getting Brick Haley. I think it is a 2 for 2 (antar thompson from juco and Michael thompson as a true freshman). With our lack of DTs in 2017, I would take the package assuming Haley is on our radar.

Interesting... Had not heard that at all. Cootieship?

Antar is verbally committed to Missouri but no LOI is in.
Michael is uncommitted, but 100% of the crystal balls are for brick haley.
Michael Thompson is the #2 DT in the composite. Antar was the 33rd ranked DT in the 2013 class. Not sure how he has any eligibility unless he went prep first. Looks like he has old man stength.

This board has been my only source for today's recruiting and I was amazingly well informed and entertained. Thank you all. Go Dawgs.

Brick has done well with coaching Dline at Mizzou and is on the list of possible hires. I think the Thompson thing would just be a bonus not why we are hiring the guy.

Yeah... it's less even about his time this year at Mizzou (they did seem improved over last year IMO, but lacking talent) and more than likely his history as a coach... specifically these years:
2007–2009 Chicago Bears (DL)
2009–2014 LSU (DL)
2015–2016 Texas (DL)

Grats on the Tindall get, was trying to soften the blow for weeks on our board. I was told by a friend who coaches at Spring Valley HS was headed y'alls way about 2 months ago. Ducks we couldn't keep him here but we got a solid lb in Rosendo Louis as a backup plan who's I enrolling early. 13 of our 20 signers today are EEs

Thanks brotha.
Daaamn. You guys got room under the 85 for that?
I think we're probably looking at 10 EEs right now. Preliminary list:
Fields, White, Jackson, Ericson, Mays, and Hill on offense.
Wyatt, Cox, Joseph, and Wilson on defense.
Not definitive at this time, but that's my guesses at least.

Do what now?
I've been posting on this board for over a year and have never said anything remotely close to trolling.
I’m not sure how your posts are viewed as trolling either. I feel like most of us appreciate your input on the GSB.
