Don't think Carl Lawson was ever projected here. I could be wrong but I remember him being a Tech commit then he flipped to AU

10 AM-10:30 AM: 5-star OG target Jamaree Sayler – Salyer will announce sometime between 10-10:30 a.m. at the Sports and Social event from The Battery Atlanta near Sun Trust Park. It should boil down to Clemson or Georgia.

12 PM: 4-star UGA commit Chris Smith II — Smith will sign at this hour at the Sports and Social event from the Battery Atlanta near Sun Trust Park. His Hapeville Charter squad just won a state championship over the weekend.

I know, it's insane. I'd sort of dread NSD under the old guard, because there were usually kids who could be program changers that had our hat on the table and they almost always broke in another direction. I can only recall a couple of Signing Day commits that we actually got. Hell, maybe my memory is selective.

I think Keith Marshall made an NSD announcement, and maybe Michel, too? I honestly don't recall when we were surprised to find out that kid picked us on NSD.

ETA - Nah, he committed in December of 2011.

Crowell, Hardman, Harvey-Clemons, Michail Carter, Lorenzo Carter, etc. We've done better on NSD than you think. If you go after top players late, you're gonna lose more than you get.

No, I think you are right. I think we pretty much had a good idea who we had going into the day, and most of the "Big Reveals" went elsewhere. We still ended up with good classes, but, as we know, were usually short along the LOS.

He was an early enrollee... it was more or less signing day for him I believe... don't think he committed prior to signing?

Interesting... must have just been rumors of teams trying to flip him that made us nervous back then. I don't remember feeling super comfortable until he signed. Time has a way of fricking with your mind though...

Really wish he hadn't gotten injured while he was here... he wasn't ever Gurley, but he was really talented... just never seemed the same after the injury. Glad to see Chubb has returned closer to what we remember at least. Stronger probably... if maybe not *quite* as nimble/bursty.

I'm almost positive Lawson committed to Auburn relatively early in the cycle and was pretty solid throughout.

Oatmeal stout is appropriate for breakfast, right? What about (Cream of) Wheat Beer?
