When they say “big surprise”, I think they’re referring to the general public, not guys that check recruiting message boards on a daily basis ????

Pitt is a very close 3rd behind McGee. Dell is still king of the croots

Leon O’Neal Jr

We made his top 4 today, but I think he's A&M bound with an outside chance of heading to Norman.

Has decent potential, and a pretty solid knack for the ball. Not necessarily the quickest of players, but he should be a contributor wherever he goes.

Well, if you listened to today's podcast, BA indicated that he doesn't think it's Mays because it's not surprising enough... That would rule out Salyer and many others as well... As I said multiple times, it's highly likely that it's not surprising to any of us and was simply overstated, but if it's not Parsons or Mays, I'm not sure there is another 'big' surprise on the board... Ford, Tindall, and Salyer have all been expected for a while even by Sentell's commentary.

I agree but I’m just trying to think of someone we haven’t really been talking about

How much credit does McGee get for his work with Swift and Holyfield? Tough to grade RB 'coaching' sometimes as it's often so much natural ability, but Chubb improved this year, Michel seemed to operate at another level too... Some of that was OL, some play calling, some QB talent, but the backs really performed at a high level. McGee deserves the first raise of the assistants IMO... Pittman already making big boy money for an assistant at least.

I didn’t realize Reese for a February guy. Just so long as he stays away from Harbough

Tons of credit. But I think the strides the o line made from last year to this year is absolutely remarkable. Going from our most deficient unit to one of our strengths with similar personnel (Thomas) is insane.

Wiltfong with the Mays CB to UGA. He’s widely considered the most connected National recruiting analyst

The biggest component to Tunning game production is the OL and how consistently they block the scheme.

100% agree... Most improved position is OL by a WIDE margin. Some learning from last year's mistakes, some personnel swaps that worked better, and clearly solid development and evaluation. Gotta give Pitt the edge there. Slight edge to McGee on the trail, but probably not by as much. Both of them are clearly elite 5 Star staff members.

Indeed. Now Clemson deals with recruiting straight up while others offer everything from hookers & drugs to careers for undeserving parents. As a Clemson fan, I'm so glad times have changed.

We're I a fan of Clemson, I'm not sure I'd talk shite about what anyone elses coach looks like... LINK

Also hilarious that their private message service is called take/t mail... Seems like there is a Low T joke there somewhere...

He plants some blow on the guys committing at the Turner Field thingy. That was the delay on Salyer he accidentally leaked.

No clue what he's talking about.
I do like surprises though. We're in it for several February guys, was just asked not to name. Mentioned them to friends like Gtown a good bit, when I wanna talk with his wife. I know he'll go in other room for an hour.

I always get tired of folks clogging this thread with nonsense, that I asked GTown to admit South Carolina football sucks. That was a put on.

Seen limitless posts everywhere about commits in this class. Points and counterpoints. Fans, like you (all reading this) and myself, that don't have a clue what these kids are truly going to do.

Message board opinions on depth charts, best fits, negative recruiting, evaluations, tactics, etc. have no affect on where they're really gonna end up. Assumptions are made, stories written, money made, everybody wins. Fans have fun and freak out.
My list hasn't changed. Sorry for no surprises. Parsons is going to Ped St. Has been planning to go there years before I ever heard his name.

If Parsons pick is wrong, that's a surprise that maybe 15 folks in the world would know of. If it were even the slightest chance, that news would come tomorrow. Have heard nothing about him. Really can't give my opinion on why I think he visited ATM, but I will when possible.

Best class ever. I apologize on any errors that may occur. No false sense of hope was ever my intention. I'll, as always let y'all know. Did mention #1 class after Auburn loss. Was confident enough, without SEC victory we had a chance at it.
Never did math lol. Just assumed by looking at my daily notes, that we were getting the #1 class. About the same time momentum swung very strongly for '19. Recruits had seen those spots filled and how our staff recruits. Seeing all the names, save a couple lately, I already felt good enough to say it.

We'll see how it goes

LOL! Clemson fans are just pathetic. We aren't Ole Miss. We've always been one of the best recruiting programs in college football. We've nearly always out-recruited Clemson.
