Recruiting is certainly a volatile hobby. Not everyone has the stomach for it. My dad was classmates with Watts Dantzler's dad in HS, and I graduated with his cousins at Dalton, so when the first DHS kid to play for UGA in a decade is about to sign, it's your God-given Catamount duty to get excited about recruiting.
I'm beyond ready to cast off the NSD blues and am loving every minute of our growing juggernaut of a program.
We've had Pope and now Clark. Had kids at FSU, actually two when we played them in Sugar Bowl. I played with both. Grandfather came home from war, made moonshine, went to prison, came home and drank and never missed any Americus High sporting event. For years. Article in Atlanta paper about my Great-uncle and himself.
Had his fifth, and final heart attack, sitting beside my Dad at a Panther basketball game.
All uncle's and their friends, brothers, whoever under to always travel to the dome every year, when games were moved there. Every year. Up until about ten years ago, when they got too old. Amazing passion grown deep here. All towns have them.
We went on long winning streak in 70's. One year, they only gave up 6 points. True story.... Dothan, Al. 50+ yards of penalties on the drive.
NG on that team was 180.
His son was 4* heavyweight champ and never lost a match. Best nose tackle to ever play high school football. Problem was, he's about 5'9.
Made sure he loved me. He's like a lil King Kong. We fish together often, as he is disabled, after an occurrence that happened while camping for the Dolphins. He has current family in NFL.
Cool story on couple coaches from here LINK

I got all off topic ranting about how my High School has so much more history and tradition, then HinesvilleThrill and GTown's do.
Two days... and at least five years of the cmrcopd will instantly vanish.

Haha! Well he and that kid from Macon (Aldean?) took in the game Friday. The atmosphere was electric and you could feel the win in the air well before the 4th quarter.
If you didn't see the game, you missed one hell of a hit by Otis Reese to knock the ball out of the hands of their QB. He didn't get up for a minute. That was right after the half and the momentum was ours the rest of the way.

Were you around there when Mackel harris and that bunch played? We almost played them in the state playoffs that year. I think Americus won the state championship that year.

Gotcha. I played up in North Georgia for awhile, but it was much, much earlier than that.

It's so funny listening to this Clempson nonsense. If there are 3 programs that were created with booster cash they are Clemson, Auburn, Ole Miss (dead).

Had a friend that played for Clemson in the early 80's,man does he have some IPTAY stories.

Also... has the board come to a consensus that the only person allowed to accelerate the damn thread with countdowns is dallas? Please and thank you.

Out of this 18 class, do we see anybody that will be able to help next year like Fromm, Swift, and Hartmann.
I think Salyer on offense. Fields will help on special plays and Zeus might contribute if healthy.
On Defense, I could see Cox and Reese playing significant snaps next year.

If healthy, he's absolutely contributing.

Hardman's a sophomore, but I get your point. I think Anderson, Salyer, Reese, Cox, and Camarda will play right away. I would love for Fields to redshirt, but if not he'll contribute. Cook will contribute on Special Teams at a minimum IMO.
