Lots of twitter activity indicating that Brule likely ends up elsewhere. I'd watch TCU/LSU

I am fine with losing Brule if we can get a elite player in that spot.

Understood, but do we KNOW that we need their spots just yet? And are they the only guys that could be cut to make that room? It sounds like Kirby and Tucker really liked Brule. Just wondering.

Dunno whether *we* know... but would assume if the comment is indeed about us, that the coaches do.

I remember when his commitment was announced, there were some who thought he might be getting pitched as a hybrid LB/DB type player... Since I haven't heard a lot of positive news around DBs of late, would imagine this spot needed to ensure room for Tindall/Reese (or both). If it's a DB spot that we're trying to open up, would guess Divaad Wilson? Weird part at DB though is Wildgoose. Coaches love him, but recruiting rankings don't. Someone is wrong... but if you were to try and open up his spot, he's teammates with Wilson and that might not go over well. Keep hearing that we're not out of it for Campbell or possibly ITS (less likely), but just not sure where we're going to fit them in the class. I know we'll make room if we need to, but curious at what expense.

Sounds pretty open to playing center to me.

I would imagine we would cut Brule because we feel that we can bring in other players that fill greater needs.

Seems to me Kirby tries to fill the spots as quick as possible so numbers are limited and he has leverage to improve the class through limited space as we get closer to signing day.

Definitely the most likely. Wouldn't expect Brule in this class anymore, Becton got offered by UTk as soon as Sherrer left so that could be his landing spot (and we'll upgrade there with Cox), and Moore didn't produce this year compared to guys like Bateman and Bush. We've been in-home with Condon, so even if we get Mays I'd be surprised to see him go, doubt we cut ties with Tramel Walthour based on our needs for interior DL. Only other lower rated guy is Wildgoose but he's OVing this weekend and we're going hard after his teammate, Divaad Wilson, so he's probably not going anywhere.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him go to TCU with his teammate Chase.

The word early was that he was giving Auburn so much attention because we'd pitched him as a G/C and they were exclusively pitching him at G. Later on, he backed off the comments a bit, but the change in attention due to pitches was real. Ericson maybe a better option at C anyways... they'll likely all get some time to compete there though... Curious to see if Shaffer or Kindley end up in the mix at C as well... We'll be lightest at OT it would seem, so Mays would be a huge add there.

I don't love speculating on this kind of stuff, but Reese would play a very similar role for us as Brule. It would depend on how confident UGA is in flipping Reese, I guess.

Smart going in-home with Channing Tindall tonight with an OV likely this weekend, per 247. Looks like UGA's trying to close that one out.

That would be great...and I know I’m complaining about my wallet not being big enough to hold all my hundred dollar bills and that my diamond shoes are too tight but, I thought we would be trying harder to pull one of the elite DB’s.

Is that your final list, Americus?

If I counted right, that is:

6-5*
13-4*
5-3*
