I agree. I would say more opportunistic and doing their homework at an elite level. They are finding great players at lower rankings
And that is as big a key as getting highly rated players. Sometimes a highly rated player will coast and not work as hard, relying on natural talent. Lower rated players feel like they have something to prove. (These are general statements and in no way should be applied to every recruit)

With only 2 commits we NEED something good to happen in the world of recruiting. It seems to be a rough going so far for this class...

It seems the 2018 kids are looking at that 2019 class and saying ......"Frick that"

Exactly..I don't recall so many kids in one class pushing their commitments back until closer to signing day. Maybe I just never took note previously but have we ever only had 2 commits for an upcoming class in mid-April?

So far, play on the field has given no one the belief that Kirby will succeed. Recruiting in 2017 was great but last season was mediocre.

I still think this is the biggest thing moving forward.
Last year, Kirby could sell hope in a jar, but if he goes 2, 3 seasons without any on-field results to show, he won't be able to recruit anywhere near what he did.

If you like to read into vague tweets by recruits, Ezzard and Cox look like they may be ready to commit soon.

Only having 2 recruits at this point isn't a big deal. Generally speaking, a lot of players commit to teams when numbers get tight. Since UGA has only a couple guys committed, players seriously considering UGA aren't worried about the class filling up. And it's the first week of April, 9 months to go...At least that's my thought process.

Ya lets step back from the edge. We have the better part of a year to get them inked. I think we will get Zeus and then the dominoes will start falling.

Who do we feel like could be the next to pop off?
Posted on 4/11/17 at 2:24 pm to CommitToTheG
I'll go with Marquez Ezzard and/or Brenton Cox

Going out on a limb are you?

Was he looking for an unrealistic guess?

Nah, I'm just giving you a hard time. It's been plastered on a few other places. That's the only reason I was saying it.

I didn't read into your comment, I was genuinely going to make an outlandish prediction.

FWIW Texas Tech transfer Breiden Fehoko and his family were at practice today.

Would be a nice little addition if we could snag him.
