I don't blame them either. It's just risky.

We got negative recruited hard all offseason, and it is backfiring wonderfully now. The pitch against UGA all spring and summer was that Kirby had never won or developed players. Whoops.

And Kirbys pitch was "wait and see". Recruits are impressed with UGA because Kirby told all of them what UGA was going to do this season, and it actually happened. Guarantee you if we win Saturday some big names pop

Pruitt rumored to be a candidate for MSU job. If he goes, watch Stephon Wynn as a DT we might get back in on as well as Nadab Joseph (CB) to potentially trend our way

The shuffling of coaches in the SEC could definitely help us out with some good players. *Crosses fingers nobody offers McGee an OC job*

On a humorous notes, quite a few Florida folks now think they will flip Fields and sign him along with Corral...glad that this whole thing wasn't able to stand their delusion.

Fields followed Dan Mullen and UF on twitter...when you consider the evidence, tFlip is inevitable.

I’m more worried about auburn flipping Fields than I am Florida and I think JF is all DAWG.

Absolutely. How many players do you see getting drafted after this year? We know the four that came back for their senior years helped themselves...then Roquan and Wims? Aaron Davis? Wynn? Atkins, Parrish and Sanders?

How many do you think will be drafted? All?
I still think Thompson stays, but if he goes, too, and with the above we would have 11 or 12 drafted this year. Kirby can point to that.

There's zero chance that Roquan stays, but I said the same thing about Chubb last year.

Chubb would have been a 2nd or 3rd round pick at best last year. Roquan is currently projected top 15. He gone, as he should be.

Is there any reason we should be worried about Fields?

Oh, no! I agree with you. I shouldn't have put a "?" behind him, as I am pretty sure he will not be able to increase his draft position.

He sounds like he's willing to listen if nothing else...

LINK

Not sure if that link is free or not, and I'm not going to give away everything that is in there, but he talks about possibly not signing early, and taking Official Visits to FSU & UF

This may be the pessimist in me, but somehow I don't think we land Fields when it's all said and done. He damn sure doesn't sound completely sure of his commitment. Maybe he feels he could beat Matt Corral out more than Fromm.

We need this kind of player. These are the kinds of players we've not landed from the state that hurt us, Deshaun Watson being one.
