Don’t feel bad. It could have just as easily have been me. I had no idea how close it was. I blame it on Dallas. They must take away his computer at 7:00 pm at the old folks home. ;)

Oh. The whole thread count thing. Yeah, sorry folks. Lol.

Rusty and Keith Neibhur (Auburn 247) both insinuating that it's grade related. Rusty essentially said he doesn't think he'd qualify for an SEC school for a couple of years.

Then why all the CBs have him going to the barn?

Do you really have to ask? If anyone can get him qualified it's the barn.

FWIW, multiple "experts" have been essentially stating that we would be losing a defensive commitment due to qualification/academic reasons for almost 2 weeks now I think (that's about how long ago I remember seeing it.) Either there is another one, or those comments are at least founded in some kind of reasonable thought.

Georgia folks don't seem to be caught off guard with this one. I've heard from a few people that grades were a challenge with him. You have to remember that the new rules limit each class to 25. As such, big teams really can't take the same risks on borderline qualifiers as they once could, because you can't back count the next year to make up for it if they don't qualify.
In either case, the timing and optics are terrible. Really hope we get a commitment from Otis Reese and/or Channing Tindall soon.

Americus what have you been hearing lately?

Nothing really new that I can throw out yet.
Did hear we knew we were screwed against Auburn's front 7 last Friday when we left
Guessing one to commit at anytime.
Couple before the early period next month.
Liked Tannor a lot, but things aren't meant to be.
Have heard another name. Numbers I heard way back were 2-3. None they didn't want in class, just grades. No risks with 25 hard cap.
Continue to feel very great about-
Reese
Tindall
Mays
Salyer
Ford
Pappoe
Of course they knew of Tannor a while back, and I mentioned, you will hear new names. Memory is shot, but Tannor's eventual replacement (hopefully), is where I think I said that in the posts regarding that player.
Ford is seemingly going all the way to all-star games or February. We're set at plan B's on multiple fronts. Some are All-Americans
Campbell/Shutdown Corner- keep that in your prayers.
Don't be surprised to see another QB if we can pull it off.
Don't be surprised if we pull one out of nowhere. Haven't seen his name around, but we'd celebrate
Go Dawgs! frick Auburn!

Well that's disappointing... if true, we knew we were screwed and still decided that the best option was running right into their DTs to start the game...

Reese
Tindall
Mays
Salyer
Ford
Pappoe
I like this list...

Yes please?

Hmm... would have to imagine any second QB coming in would be a PWO unless we don't have quite as many guys looking to fill those spots. That feels like a spot that we probably shouldn't blow a scholly on?
As to the surprise...
Go on...

We could fill 40.
Two scholarship QB's next year won't cut it. Not saying it's happening, just hearing it more and more.
We end up 2-3, with some Blue Chips and solid depth coming. We may gain one, before we lose another. Times change like clocks
Couple on roster will also be off, so between that and grade issues, it's tough dropping names. If they wanted it out, it would be out. Both Tennessee and UGA knew Mays decommited, but it didn't leak too far. Recruits have the ability to blast reporters/outlets if they leak, and schools try their best to do EVERYTHING.
I'll gladly tell some recruiting tales to wrap up the thread in February. They are very creative. They have an army assembled

I will be more excited for that classified info dump in February than I was for the 9/11 commission report and Kennedy assassination documents combined.

2 CBs for Jordan Davis (Rusty and Kipp) and 2 more CBs for Cade Mays.

Someone tell me I'm wrong here, but haven't been super impressed with the film here. Still would have Barmore higher as well as probably Cooper, even with the weight being a concern. Maybe I'm missing something though.

Do like. If we land him, then I don't feel bad if we miss on Hill. If we land both... fine. Just not sure what that comes at the expense of.

Fib, I could be wrong but I think we probably clear the necessary room with roster “processing”. I think it’s likely that Eason and a few others process themselves.
