Perfect timing. Just got done listening to DawgNation Live. Brandon said their might be some big news tonight!

Wouldn't number 4,499 actually be the 4,500th post in the thread since the number you're going by is the reply count?

Jeff Sentell said on Tuesday that he tries to report fairly and accurately and tries not to be too much of a sunshine pumper when it comes to recruiting...but he doesn’t see anything but sunshine in the foreseeable future for dawgs recruiting. Says he is searching for some doom and gloom to try and balance it out, but it’s not easy to find.

I believe he said that in a few years we may look back and say the 2017 class might be the "weakest" of the bunch. I'm all about that!

Dude is legit! He gives us a great insight into UGA recruiting without jeopardizing what the recruits have told him. He doesn't sugarcoat anything either, if it doesn't look like we are going to get a recruit he straight up just tells us that.

Jeff and Brandon are good dudes who put together good content. MUCH better than traditional AJC coverage.
They get lots of negative association since they share a platform with Chip Towers and Seth Emerson, who are pretty terrible. Two years later and they still take every article as a chance to bitch about their practice access being restricted

We've always gone based on replies since post number ##00 will always be the last one on a page and therefore gets lost in the shuffle... This is the accepted method across our boards that do this as well.

Seth was awesome in Macon, but it definitely seems like Chip has been rubbing off on him a little bit now that they are working together which is very unfortunate.

Kirby is still pissed Chip fricked up getting Bama’s S&C coach Scott Cochran.
You can tell his demeanor change when someone asks him a question, then Chip asks him a question

All good. I just had a random thought while reading the countdown.

I did not know this. Interesting.

There are other such thread counts going on? I did not know this, either!

Not really. Cochran stayed as he got a $105k raise to $525k/year, is eligible for a nice pension (~$10k/month after he turns 60), and he didn't have to say no to Saban. Cochran made the best decision for himself and his family.
Conversely, Sinclair was brought in at $220k/year and got an $80k raise back in Feb to get him up to $300k. I think he's done an awesome job and we are healthier than Bama currently (not saying that S&C has all to do with that but it's still worth noting). I think Sinclair is in line to get close to Cochran's annual salary soon should we keep this train rollin'.

Dunno how religious they are about it but have seen on Bama's. Haven't noticed if same person tries to get it every time.

Because post number one (OP) is the first one and only twenty replies per page... Math will always work out the same. First post on new page will always be post number ####1 but reply number ###0 (-1 from post count to remove OP)...
Excessively nerdy response... But that's the why.

Agreed. There was next to no shot at ever landing Cochran once I heard about the pension... Think we got the good end of it though. Got him an excessive (IMO) raise and got a hell of a S&C staff to boot.

Not sure, but probably no more than 2-3.

Getting Mays and Salyer has me salivating-- tack on hill and we likely have the best O-line in the country by 2019 and continue it through 2022
A major trick is to keep Pittman. He seems to have a great idea of how to develop OLinemen. (To say the least)

3 sounds right? Would have to look back to be sure though. On phone right now.
Re: keeping Pittman, I can't seem to find the quote now, but FWIW, he was quoted as saying this was a final destination for him. Doesn't seem to have desire to go be an OC/HC and there aren't many places that are going to outbid us for him. He's already one of the highest paid OL coaches in the country. Certainly a concern if we were to ever move on from JC, as they've been somewhat attached at the hip, but thus far, JC seems to have righted the ship on the offensive side of the ball so likely bought a fair amount of goodwill.

Exactly, I don't see either of them ever leaving voluntarily from Athens. Neither seems to have HC ambitions and if we want them here then we will pay them what they want.
