I think he'll be a good ballplayer. Glad it'll be far away from here.

He's definitely a bit of a project, but from what we're seeing and hearing from Tray Scott right now, there might not be anyone better from a pure technique teaching standpoint. I like the upside if were picking up three DTs for sure. He's not highly ranked enough to scare anyone away necessarily but he's good enough to compete. Given that we're likely short on DTs if Trent does indeed bolt after this year, I am a fan of his potential if nothing else.

Think Anderson and Fields will both be in town. I'll try and find the list and put that in the OV post.

Yup. With Hill and OP.

Tim "The Godfather" Watts said he will be getting a ratings bump in the next update.

So much for flying under the radar.

Dammit. Happy for the kid though. He clearly put in the work.

And there is where we are at. DT is a position of need, and there is not many quality ones out there, so yes...I agree he is well worth the time and trouble.

I hope so. I think he and Salyer are the two biggest players we need at this point. I absolutely love Anderson and the player i think he will become, but I might give Salyer the edge as far as need. A slight edge, though.

If we get Anderson and Salyer, we would jump to top 6 in 247 composite...

They're both excellent players and are at positions of need.

Barmore got the Bama bump and is now a 3 star, added offers from LSU and Miss State yesterday too.

Barmore got the "holy shite, we underestimated this kid" bump... there is a reason we offered him. That offer + his updated senior film seems to have sparked a lot of increased interest.

ETA: underestimated may not be the right word actually... it's simply that based on current film, he no longer looks like a 2* athlete... it's late enough in the process that he likely doesn't see a bump to 4*, but IMO, he's got better film than a lot of the 4* DTs that I looked at earlier this year.

He went from #2,200 (roughly) to #724 in the Composite rankings overnight. 247 has him #274 overall.

He is a 4-star on 247.

I'm not as sure about Cook, personally. I think he is seeing the line in front of him....but again, just my guessing.

If I was James Cook, I don't think I'd be intimidated by Holyfield or Herrien, especially given his different skill set. I'd look at the role Swift is playing now and see a pretty appealing opportunity.
